He knows GVB ,he has strong experience of coaching in the league, understands the SPL 'park the bus' mentality, very intelligent, loves the club, hates the IRA.. Thats a lot of boxes ticked.

Great to see McCoist criticise Gerrard for the 'way that he went'. Remembering the way Ally went...so incompetent that he couldn't even win Championship matches, so brass necked that he had to be fired .. so we had to pay up his contract. He didnt even have to issue instructions at that point, just his presence put a spring in the players step. Absolute giant of a man.

We apply the word legend too freely these days, but when a real legend comes along, you just know it. He always found a way to win. Against the odds, down to 10 men or even 9, he would find a way to win. When young managers asked him for advice,he would give it..just find a way to win. I'm heartbroken that he couldnt find a way, just one more time.

Rangers played well today, but on current form Morelos is offering nothing. Sakala is another MOH, he'll do nothing if there's no space to run into. Roofe is our best option, and let's hope there's a few goals left in Defoe.
