Ferguson is not going to be the next Rangers manager ffs. Whoever the board choose it won't be him. MW was a gamble as a manager but did have some good recommendations. Ferguson is never a manager as his attempts have shown. Too many folk getting in a tizz and making 2+2=5 with every Internet rumour that rears it's head.

All they did was tell the facts so no congrats from me. They did what anyone should do. Just shows the nick of this country when telling the truth is almost an exception these days and earns a round of applause.

He's fuckin murder. I like his total commitment and ability to win the ball in the air but now that he's been here a while I don't see him offering anything that can win us games. Won't be disappointed when he moves on. Likewise with Tav and Waghorn and some others. Whatever the outcome of the ex-management team's dismissal it's obvious they made some shite signings that did not improve the team and have left us needing to pick up the pieces.

Bit dramatic there. The board abviously think they have something that tilts the facts in their favour. If it turns out to be otherwise they should explain. But I think you should put away the pitchforks. I'm more interested in them appointing a good manager than this stuff anyway.

I don't get this point. Would you rather they had stayed. If we had sacked them they would still have been entitled to a payout. If the board win their case there's no payment. Nobody's pissing any money away.

So what role does the DoF do? Does he make signing's above the manager, recommend team selection or what? Or is he in charge of scouting, youth etc.

By sanctioning the signings it shows they were backing the manager. How were they to know he was signing players not up to the job. The buck stops with the manager on that one. It's not for the board to say who to sign or not ... unless it gets to a stage where they are concerned by the product and are forced to say enough is enough.
