  1. Taking only the individual into account, this might seem like a good idea but it wouldn't be good for the team to smash the wage structure. Our top earners are on *significantly* less than £40k and paying out wages anywhere close to this would result in a lot of knocking on Ally's door.
  2. Rangers vs Inverness - 18th Jan Dundee United vs Rangers - No date St Johnstone vs Rangers - No date And the upcoming Rangers vs St Mirren I think I've got tickets for the Dundee United match, haven't even picked them up yet. Been postponed twice now.
  3. Ibrox, Rangers Parkhead, Celtic Tannadice, Dundee United Dens Park, Dundee Hampden, Scotland Stamford Bridge, Chelsea Stadium of Light, Sunderland Withdean, Brighton Old Wembley, England Olympic Stadium, Roma / Lazio (I saw Lazio) San Siro, AC Milan / Inter Milan (I saw Inter) Nou Camp, Barcelona Bernebau, Real Madrid
  4. SSN just said that Jelavic will fly to Glasgow tomorrow to complete the deal.
  5. Good start for Villa. Will be playing the Jellyman in the Champions League hopefully. Hopefully for him too, he took a risk with his stance today and it would be nice for it to pay off.
  6. Official : http://www.rangers.co.uk/articles/20100819/weiss-joins-gers_2254024_2127501 From the Rangers official site. Deal done
  7. He may be a Celtic player but I wouldn't wish this on anyone. This is a career threatening injury for many footballers and I hope he makes a full recovery. He'll be for the off next season at any rate so he'll be doing it for some other team. He's absolutely a better player than Cha from what I've seen so far and Celtic really shot themselves in the foot (or the knee so to speak) by freezing him out in the hopes of shifting him on. The lack of match practice might even be a contributing factor.
  8. Yeah, video is from last week sometime. Thursday maybe.
  9. BBC just reported that our bid has failed : http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/rangers/8893879.stm Not sure if this is based off information from last week or what.
  10. I'd be happy to see Beattie sign. I realise that he's got no resale value but I reckon he'll form a potent partnership with Miller (assuming we don't sell him) and we'll get a good couple of years of him. If his goals help us win the league in those years, then it's absolutely 1.5m well spent. Tommy Smith I'm much less sure about as his goals record is nowhere near as good and I'm not sure about a 30 year old on the wing. Would still love to see Jelavic as well. Reckon he's got a real quality about him and we'd get a good fee for him in 2 or 3 years when he inevitably moved on. As a club, that's the kind of signing we should be prioritising but I have no problem complementing that with solid experienced heads.

  12. Just came up on BBC that this is now completed. 3 year deal. All the best Danny. Definitely think this was the correct decision by the club.
  13. I was honestly hoping that Liverpool would come back in - Wilson was clearly going to leave the club next year for free (£500k compensation) and barring an injury to two of our central defenders he wasn't going to play a lot of games this season anyway. £2m rising to £5m is a pretty good deal all things considered and like papaguy indicates, this is absolutely a good deal for the club. I realise that our squad is thin and there's a possibility of Bougherra going as well, but that doesn't change that this makes complete sense for the club. Absolutely wish the lad all the best - he looks a great prospect and I hope he continues to progress. Will be tough to break in at Liverpool but it's good to see young Scots being scouted by Premiership clubs again.
  14. Should be noted that this isn't the words of Activision but rather, Michael Pachter, an industry analyst. He's just suggesting that Activision start doing this given the fall in industry revenue this year (and that online games are suggested as a reason for this) - there has been no indication from Activision that this is something they are planning to do.
