  1. celtic's conversion rate once again lower than ours on Wednesday. We'll be alright.
  2. It's definetely something we can improve on but it's not a huge problem. Under Clement our coversion rate is 10.3% compared to celtic's which is 10.1%. Last night we actually under performed our average conversion under Clement and it was the third worse conversion rate with him as manager with only Pittodrie and Tynecastle being the worst. Also of it's any comfort our conversion rate last night was actually better than celtic's against Aberdeen and Ross County. They also vastly over performed their ratio due to two penalties against Hibs. I'd be a lot more worried if we weren't creating chances at all.
  3. I think a lot of it comes from earlier in the season because he was unfit, lazy and didn't look interested. However now he's in good shape, works hard, gets involved deep (sometimes may be good, sometimes may be shit) and is getting his rewards in front of goal and it has been sustained since Danilo got injured. We've stumbled upon a 20-25 goal player from thinking he was one of the worst we've ever signed. It's just a shame we don't have another one to back him up though I think Silva with more games will contribute.
  4. Yeah I was only comparing Colak as he's the name mentioned regularly. Two different players as well who would strangely compliment each other. Maybe a better example of a guy who was scoring goals in a better Rangers team was Roofe in 20/21. 1564 minutes with 14 goals with 1 every 112 minutes!
  5. Dessers hasn't really been a hinderence in us getting level with celtic, in fact he's been one of the biggest contributors along with Tav and Sima. A bigger gripe should be goals from elsewhere though Matondo and Cantwell are doing their bit to correct that and I'll be surprised if we dont see more from Silva and Cortes on that front. All strikers will have games like tonight where they miss chances but still get 2 important goals and have a game like St Mirren where they get 1 chance and score it Since PC came in he's had 908 minutes in the league and scored 9 goals (1 every 101 minutes). For reference, he's starting to get to Colak levels of just getting the goals. Colak before his injury had 1055 minutes scoring 10 goals (1 every 105 minutes). We've got Dessers on a run where he scores 2 goals every 3 matches. He's also getting important goals. His two goals against Hibs and the one at Dens were scored when the game was done but he got the opener against Livi and St Johnstone, got the equaliser against Dundee at home, got the winner against St Mirren and put us up twice tonight. He's not the most convincing guy but he's been doing a pretty reliable job up there since PC came in and certainly since Danilo got his injury.
  6. We didn't got top tonight but if that doesn't wet your appetite for the rest of the season I don't know what will. Excellent performance tonight. If we play half as well as that for the rest of the season we'll be picking up a treble. On to St Johnstone...
  7. Would be lovely to go top tonight but at the end of the day as long as we win. The momentum is very much with us and imo they're a game or two away from more spilt milk. Just win at any cost but it would be nice to stroll into work top of the league again!
  8. Watching them last night reminded me of us last season under Gio. You would have games you would win quite comfortably and you'd win games in spite of yourself but you just knew the next bad result was just around the corner. As long as we stay consistent you get a feeling that their next poor result isn't far off whether it is against St Mirren in the cup or in the league against Killie or Motherwell.
  9. I usually don't watch this mob but I watched the second half. They're hanging on by a thread at this moment in time. This time next week a multi goal victory and we're top of the league and if not then it wont be far away
  10. If, just if, Hibs were to win this by 2+ and put us top of the league without even playing would lead to the ultimate meltdown. The sharks and the rest of sea world would be out in force.
  11. I'm not expecting celtic to drop points tonight just because Hibs are way too open but when either us or them are struggling it doesn't matter how bad the opposition are playing the bigger team still drops point. I think the pressure of not winning regularly at Rangers or celtic overtakes the overall shiteness of the smaller club and leads to either bad performance and/or bad unexpected results. Since Clement joined celtic are dropping points in every third game so if not tonight they will likely drop points against Kilmarnock or Motherwell, they may even get knocked out the cup by St Mirren.
  12. Ideally but there's a lot of football to be played. There's enough around Dessers against shite like Dundee, Motherwell and Ross County to win and make sure Silva isn't run into the ground by the end of March.
  13. I like him. Technically looks superb.
  14. The guys been getting goals and contributing more since PC came in but for me he should be used for your smaller league and cup games whereas Silva should be in for Europe, celtic and your bigger city clubs like Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs no matter what.
  15. Best player on the park tonight. Excellent and a mature performance.
  16. This feels very much like 55 for me and not just for their hijinks across the city. Not matter if we play badly or huff and puff or miss a million chances I just feel like we'll find a way. Actually feel relaxed watching us when it was 1-1. That stoppage time wasn't too relaxing though
  17. So there was a foul for the obvious trip on Goldson. Sky is a bigger joke than Robertson.
  18. First "handball" you will never get and as for the second the Aberdeen players trips Goldson prior to him falling in front of Miovski. More media nonsense but Boyd has the measure of them.
  19. Really good win, played some decent stuff but dug deep as well. Never an easy game against them but we find a way. I thought Cantwell was outstanding tonight. A real mature performance. No daft shit that he sometimes pulls in bigger games. Used the ball brilliantly every time he had it and got the winning goal to put the cherry on top of a great game. Really impressed with Silva (again) and Matondo is coming onto a game. He was frustrating for about an hour but Tom Lawrence, as long as he's fit, can be a valuable player in the run in. Don Robertson is a wank. On to Ayr...
  20. One thing I'll say about McAusland is he's getting doubled up on a lot which should leave Tav free or there to help. I know he'll turn up but I want a wee bit more from Tav and Lawrence. Left side looks like they've played with each other for years compared to the right side. Cant really fault the performance so far. Just a fucking stupid goal to lose with Goldson getting bullied and I reckon Butland should be out sooner.
  21. Sliding door moment now with us appointing Clement and not Muscat. A battle years in the making would have taken place on the dugout with Muscat and Warnock.
  22. They wont need to worry about title races for much longer. They wont be in one in a month or two.
