Love that
Also love the fact that idiot has thrown in what the suspected injury is as if the player going through on goal is going to be able to diagnose the injury in the 5 seconds between it happening and him scoring
Looking at his twitter feed just gave me a severe migraine.

Dont get the hate for him from some. Seems a sound guy who has taken the club to his heart. Pre injury had his qualities, although too slow for me, but played his part in 55 big style with some key contributions. I will remember him for Braga game personally.
Post ACL it seems he is struggling to get back to where he was.
Just like Borna, its best for all parties they move on and I wish them well.
Lack of pace is why he won't be a long term success here.
He has heart and technical ability which are both important, but just hasn't that turn of pace needed to be the spark further up the pitch. I think he's made for Seria A.
Should get an ok fee for him, and we hopefully recruit more suitable players.

The problem with in contract players is finding a buyer.
Hagi - hopefully still enough credit to get something back
Dessers - on paper stats wise im sure someone would come in
Lammers - decent loan spell at utrecht
Davies, Wright, matondo may be more difficult.
Out of contract guys obviously no issue.
The main issue becomes income generation. From that list there, we're going to struggle to generate £10m from transfer fees.
Obviously wages saved will go a long way, as a number of those players will be on decent wages.

Aye.
When you read/watch interviews with key players they thought the same.
Players like Tav and Lundstrum looked fucked after 60 mins under the mole. Unfit and poorly managed.
Pretty obvious where the blame lies.
We still have a fair number of players who were brought in under the Gerrard regime, and for all his faults he had the players focused on fitness. I think Gio focused more on tactics and you could see the fitness falling away eventually.
Beale, i haven't a clue what he focused on.

I think Tav will stay unless there's a hell of a pay deal or opportunity on the table for him elsewhere.
Also think there would be a deal potentially on Patterson as he's fallen right out the starting picture at Everton.

Apparently Sky were ok with a later kick off time ?
Never knew that.
Really strange decision then if Sky and i assume we were ok with a later kick off time

Apparently the pitch would have been ok by 3pm. Delayed kick off was discussed but dismissed. Don't understand why.
I'd imagine this is where Sky had their say with regards to scheduling.
As much as it would have been a bit of a pain for supporters who had arrived at the stadium and travelled, and the players for preperation etc, a 3pm kick off would have been a good compromise and mean there wouldnt be a fixture spare to play.

I jest. It'd be weird seeing Tav playing for any other club, and I can't see past him not retiring here.
His numbers have been incredible.
It only feels a couple of seasons ago he fired in that first belter against Hibs and we all fell in love.
We'll never see a defender do similar numbers for us again, not in my lifetime anyway.
One of the best goal tallies for a defender EVER. It's an incredible feat considering.
He's just been the perfect fit for us.

If only there was another ground just up the road they could have used ....
If the case is that Tannadice 100 yards up the road is fit for a game of football, Dundee should be hauled over the coals for not having their pitch fit for purpose.
Also, if that is the 4th time this season they have had a game called off, there should be sanctions.

Some goal, but still a poor signing. Agreed mate.
How is that 3 and a half years ago already?? 😭

Unfortunately, on seeing him come back this time - I think he is done.
He was probably the best striker at the club (and I include even Morelos in saying that), but it's all one being a very good player if you're hardly ever fit enough to get a run of games. Never being fit is useless.
He really hasn't been a great signing.
I shudder to think of the wages and transfer fees we have wasted on players over the years.
Roofe was definitely the best striker at the club, but the injuries have taken their toll and it's right that he goes at the end of the season. Another in a long line of expensive and hopeful punts that hasn't worked out for us.

The thought of him against the tarriers makes me shudder.
A complete passenger.
Agree with you, he's not moving or creating space for others at the moment.
The alternative is probably Silva, but it stifles any creativity from him, and we can't rely on Roofe being fit for 90 minutes without breaking down again.

Key players were completely done for.
Backup players had the opportunity and were woeful.
Quality and condition were the difference maker.
We definitely need the international break to give a few players a breather.
We're stretching the squad so thin atm and the quality will inevitably drop when we have to rely on guys who normally wouldnt get much of a look in.
They've done us proud since Clement has come in, just need one more push against Dundee, and hopefully we get more players back after the break for the run in.

If we had a full squad available it might have been different but what can you do when the whole team is hanging together by a thread
It's obviously disappointing as none of us want to see us get beat, but we've done remarkably well to get to this stage with the squad and injuries we have.
We can still come out of this season with the domestic treble, which would be incredible given the start to the season.

We had the chance in January to replace said donkey in January and for whatever reason chose not to.
Eh us having no money to spend in January might have been the reason 🤷🏻♂️

We don't have £95m to spend.
They also have at least 2 world cup winners in the team as well, and we're good enough to be going toe to toe with them.
We're doing bloody brilliantly in Europe and have been for the last 5 seasons.

Hearts statement on today's women's cup final

There's the odd one going full on sevco, but there seems to be an air of who cares if no damage is done and Hearts get money.
