  1. Hopefully next season he stays in the team as he has great potential and I like how aggressive he is.....
  2. I think it's fair to say we have not season anywhere near the levels we hoped for or were expecting. As painful as it was getting pumped at the midden those things have happened to better Rangers sides than the one we currently have. It's dropping point to Hamilton, Kilmarnock and the Ross County yesterday that's killing us. Yesterday I actually thought we played decent, not great but definitely well enough to win it and missed some great chances. Our front three were off form and Wallace looks so low on confidence that benching him I think would actually be good for him. But where do we go from here? I've seen Warbs has a week to save his job, Waggy is a one season wonder and Garner will never be a good signing for us!! Really? Are we that fickle? I'm as frustrated as anyone but last time I checked you support your team through good and bad and it's bad right now no denying it. But let's all calm it with the hysterics, it's going to be a long season, no one knows how it's going to play out. Last season we played some of the best football I've seen since Advocaat era when we actually had some world class players. Is Warbs six games in a shite manager? Is Waggy after one poor performance a one season wonder. Garner has played 3 games and scored one goal yet he's already a failure? Not disputing Warbs has has played wrong team or trying to defend some of the shite displays but we all loved the fact we had a style of football and now a scouting network and feel longer term we are back on track. I sometimes think we all forget how bad it was under the previous regime....6 games in to the seaso it can't all be gone.... We are either worlds best or worlds worst when in reality we are usually in between that.. Lets see see how we play Tuesday and get good result and performance to take us in to game with the sheep which is always one of our toughest matches... We are Rangers... Our standards are higher than everyone's else's..lets just try and step back a wee bit and see the bigger picture whilst fully acknowledging it's not good enough right now.... In Warbs we trust...
  3. They sheep are at it to get under our skin, but they like every other club in Scotland are not significant enough to bother us. When we beat them we won't celebrate like mad, we will just walk off the park drive home and beat next team put in front of us. It's always about the Rangers.....
  4. Did anyone else think that with less than 24 hours to go of the transfer window that we would only have signed one centre back by now and it would have been 37 year old Clint Hill? Im struggling to believe that Warbs and Weir couldn't have identified that as our biggest weakness within the squad? I would have thought that would have been our biggest outlay rather than another centre forward. Regardless of whether Senderos signs or not it smacks of last minute buys which don't please me seeing as how bad we still are defensively. I hope we manage to pull couple players on loan or something from down south and maybe that's why it's a bit quiet but it is concerning giving the closing off the window shortly.....
  5. Betting Boyd for first goal scorer is betting against us. That's fairly obvious and means you make money from us losing first goal. You should never profit from us losing goals in my opinion!
  6. Comprehension? You bet against your own team? Who wants to make money off our downfall? Not me but you do,what you feel is right....
  7. No Rangers fan should ever bet against his own team!!!
  8. Actually found it now and changed original typo...thanks again mate ??????
  9. Wow every day is a school day:) still cant see edit button tho....Using I-pad so not sure if that makes a difference?
  10. Cheers mate. Didn't know that as only put a few posts on so far??
  11. Sorry for typo I did check it but obviously not well enough. Season ticket holder and I can assure you I know it's Kiernan. Apologies for the error...
  12. Player ratings for the Killie match. Does not please me at all to be this harsh. Foderingham 7 No chance with the goal and his distribution was decent and handling. Wallace 4 To say he is a mile off the player last season is doing the term a disservice. Looks to be lacking in confidence and having no visible impact on the team and he is our captain lest we forget. Hill 3 He was outpaced by Kris Boyd!! There is no way he can play for us again. He's gone. Looks finished. Would rather play 3 at the back or give boy on loan from Raith a chance as he cannot be worse than Hill. Tiernan 5 He wasn't great but I actually felt a bit sorry as his playing partner, Captain and midfield did not help him at all. Hill makes him look not that bad! Tav 7 Easily our best player this season and has actually been consistent and defended reasonably well. Missed a great chance first half and scored another superb free kick. Rossiter 4 He didn't have a great game by any means. I rate the kid but game passed him by and he had no influence on it whatsoever. Barton 5 Another poor performance and I really expected a lot more. I'm not sure if the formation is doing him any favours or If playing with Rossiter isn't helping as they both do the same thing but it's not working at all. I'm wondering why Warbs signed him as he just doesn't seem to fit in to our team and style of play. Forrester 6 I thought other than Tav he actually was decent. He doesn't always pull it off but he never hides, and I like him in midfield as he links play well. He looked our only source in first half creatively and has had good start to the season too. DoDoo Can't rate the boy as he unfortunately got injured after 15 mins. I really hope it's not serious as he has great potential. McKay 5 I might even be generous with the five but I gave him that as he almost created a couple of decent chances for us. Like Wallace now he near last season or even pre season form. Miller 4 I said it last week and week before he should not start. He's scored a couple goals for us this season and fair enough but he's just not good enough to be regularly starting matches particularly when we have other options on bench. His touch was terrible and offered nothing last night. Subs: Garner 6 Hard to judge as had to come on a lot earlier than expected. He does look like physical presence we have missed and plays a lot more central. I'm sure in time he will be great player for us but didn't have best service last night to be fair. One sublime pass for Miller shows he has football brain too. Niko 6 Came on and did that crazy thing of passing ball to other rangers players which makes him stand out a lot. They were down to 10 men so had more space and he looked decent but still a bit behind fitness wise. Halliday 5 Came on but just couldn't get in to game. Tried hard but looks like he's struggling confidence wise too. Warbs: 4 I like Warbs and I believe in him but I have to call it as I see it. Last night was really poor, just like our 3 other league games. We keep giving teams a goal of a start and at best play for 45 minutes. Our midfield which used to be our strength is non existent yet we have signed better players? Defence is still short and he has not addressed that at all. Signing of Hill looks a complete shambles as everyone can see he's finished. How Miller started and stayed on staggers me. I'm wondering if Kenny has it his contract or something! MO has to get a run of games to see if he has what it takes to be a regular and Warbs has to get our team back playing the way we were when he first came to the job. His tactics also need to be looked at as I feel everyone knows how to play against us now and we are struggling to combat that. All we can hope is that they work on things in training and get a good performance under our belts against Linfield before septic. On last nights performance they would tear us apart and I still don't even think they are that good. We are just playing at 50% of our capability at best. In Warbs we trust.....
  13. Is it just me or since the start of the league campaign have both Wallace and McKay been really poor? Barry was flying pre season and in the league cup? It seems to be if one is off his game it really affects the other and we have had not much joy on the left hand side of the park since the season began. Tav has been significantly better than Wallace so far this season. We have signed players that the manager says are good enough to play every week. Is it worth considering dropping Wallace and McKay for Killie match with Hodson and O'Halloran/Dodoo just to keep players on their toes and freshen things up?
  14. I think it's fair to say yesterday's first half performance was the worst we have witnessed under Warburton. We couldn't keep possession, had no pace throughout the team and I got sick of seeing McDonald bully our two centre halfs!! There is no way we can play Rossiter, Barton and Halliday in midfield. None of them supported the strikers and were continually second two every ball in the first half. Kenny Miller was also everywhere except the penalty box and a few of Tav's decent crosses were wasted. Barry McKay had a poor match and him and Wallace have both dipped massively. Second half much much better tempo, Halliday actually got in to box and we started pressing them back more. The introduction of Niko was the difference. His pass to Miller for the first goal was superb as was his turn and cutback for 2nd goal too. Was great to get 3 points and a last minute winner always makes it a bit sweeter but we haven't played a good 90 minutes since the league started. I honestly think Warbs is being a bit to loyal to certain players. Barton was poor yesterday and do we really need him and Rossiter for home matches? I would pick Rossiter if it's a choice. Niko whilst still not match fit at least offers something creatively. If Holt and Windass are not fit we should play Forrester in midfield as he gets forward and is good on the ball. Miller scored yesterday but he's not the answer and he should be coming off the bench with Dodoo starting. Hopefully Garner will hit the ground running and Waggy maybe even back this week. I would also bench McKay and give O'Halloran a run as needs it for his confidence and looks like he's trying to hard at times. For next match at Killie I want us to start at good tempo. Play well for 90 minutes and get a bit of confidence before the old firm game. We look a bit disjointed and I honestly think it's because we haven't got the balance of the team right. Whilst I'm not convinced Senderos is the player he was he cannot be worse than Kiernan and won't get bullied like Wilson did against a 5'7 CF! It's 3 points and at the end of the day that's all that mattered but if we are all honest what we are trying to achieve isn't quite there yet. I trust in Warbs to get us back and if we sign Senderos this week we could get him in for Killie game and just maybe he might be the physical presence we need at the back. In review I suppose it's not a bad thing to be firing on all cylinders after 3 games. I'm sure we will find our feet sooner rather than later, let's just hope it changes at Killie and we put down a marker for the Old Firm game... In Warbs we trust.....
  15. I know it was only Peterhead and we can't get carried away but I think last night showed what a difference we are as a team when we have pace up front and move the ball quicker in the middle of the park. Niko was much better but I honestly feel still a wee bit behind in terms of legs and Dundee away will be fast paced match and would be inclined to start him on bench until games slows down in the 2nd half. Rossiter was excellent again and must start on Saturday. I much prefer Harry playing midfield as gets in to box and supports strikers a lot and has great feet. My team would be: Wes Tav Kiernan Hill Wallace Rossiter Barton Forrester O'Halloran Dodoo McKay I thought Dodoo and O'Halloran played well last night and stretched teams. I'm convinced if both can get a run of games and build up a greater understanding we will score the amount of goals we should be for chances we create during a game. 3 points a must on Saturday....In Warbs we trust....
  16. So after excitedly taking my seat in the east enclosure for yesterday match against the accies I left Ibrox a bit deflated, more at the performance rather than the result. If we drew and their keeper had one of those days then fair enough, but to be honest it wasn't quite like that. Opening 10 minutes were great then we became too slow on the ball the rest of the first half and we were giving the ball away all over the park. Niko caught on wrong side of Crawford then dived in and to be fair great strike but if he was ball side of him and stayed on his feet goal doesn't happen. 2nd half better, Barton had more of an impact and HF and MO made huge difference with their change of pace. I think if Waggy hadn't missed last 10 minutes we would probably have sneeked a victory. Probably. My issues and worries are: miller should not have started, based on pre season MO should have been in team before him. midfield three of Barton, Niko and Halliday did not work. Niko looks a yard of the pace against fitter teams so as good as he is when he has time, he needs to get a lot fitter to play in our system. We looked a bit leggy. Not sure if it was occasion or first league match got to the players but last year I remember thinking how great our fitness levels were as a team but that wasn't evident yesterday. Even in semi against the vermin we ran and passed them off the park. Our tempo was much quicker and we closed teams down a lot more. I trust in Warbs and think he's done great with what he's had to play with but I honestly feel we need to change things about a bit tactically to have any chance in the league. Every team knows how we're going to play and that's an issue unless some of them are truly outstanding, Iike laudrup, de Boer , Mols, etc. If we had better players our rigid 4-3-3 would be fine but I think we can all agree we are at least one centre half short and striker and even more so as Waggy will prob be out for a few weeks at least. On a positive, our bench now looks decent, Windass, Holt and Crooks are still to come in to the fold and Rossiter looks like he could start right now and keep his place. Let's hope King spends some of the money he promised as I feel if we get a good commanding centre half and centre forward we will be fine. Lots of players had a off day and that can happen. It's one game down. I'm sure Warbs will make some changes for Tuesday then next week away to Dundee I'm sure you will see a different Rangers. Teams will all come and park the bus at Ibrox so away might be a bit easier for us to play at pace with the extra space we can get. Down but not defeated....in Warbs we trust...
  17. With the squad we have right now I think we would win the league. Every player that we have replaced in the summer has been replaced by a significantly better player. With the squad and management the Tims have against ours I would fancy our chances in a one off and over a season. I still think we need another centre half and striker for sure but we have easily the best midfield in Scotland. Ask yourselves what other player playing midfield in the SPL would get in our team? My concerns last season were we were a wee bit lightweight in middle of the park and some teams cut through us a little bit to easy which exposed Kiernan and Wilson a lot. Not now...Barton moves the ball so much quicker in middle of the park and as good a tackler as he is his passing range is superb and not to be overlooked. Young Rossiter looks a great find, great in the tackle, change of pace, always wanting the ball and don't start me on the touch of Niko who is still finding his fitness....sublime and he's only going to get better and better:) It's not been since Advocaat days have we played such good footbal or had such a strong bench. Every week we will now have 5 guys on the bench who are just as good as the ones on the park. Im convinced the seasons of shite we have had to endure are over and I can't wait for us to go to the piggery and pittodrie and play them off the park!!! 55 is coming and I feel it's this season...in Warbs we trust....
  18. Can't believe our club has came out and banned people who haven't even been tried? I was there that day and I'm convinced if some of our fans hadn't came on to the park some players and maybe even some of the people in disabled section would have got hurt! Let's not forget it was Hibs scum who ran on the park, attacked our players, goaded our fans by running the length of the park whilst the stewards who were outnumbered did nothing to stop them. The police took over 20 minutes to get there. Total shambles and feels like a stitch up. The he has been a lot of positive things about us, particularly the signings and style of play under warbs but this leaves a real bad taste. I left Hampden that day gutted we got beat but actually disgusted at what I saw from so called Hibs fans and was sure for once they would get punished and we would actually get a bit of praise for how we acted as if we acted the way they did there would have been a full scale riot! Our club need need to have a look at themselves as this has been handled disastorously and from top to bottom, we should all be supporting Rangers and all its followers. The club has shat its pants and what really fuckin galls me is Hibs started it, caused all the trouble yet we are banning our fans prior to any conviction actually been made! As for the guy who writes for the record he can fuck off... I don't class him as a Rangers fan at all...he's not one of us and we don't want his sort......
