Back to his managerial credentials, I listened recently to an interview Graham Hunter had with him on the Big Interview podcast. He came across very well, learned a lot under Jim McLean at Dundee Utd who was ahead of his time in terms of sports science, S&C, psychology etc. How he has managed a loose cannon like Lafferty has been very impressive also for NI. Definitely not the best candidate out there but not bad, and would be an improvement on Warburton

Fantastic story D'Art, I love reading your work but don't comment often enough. So kudos to you for such wonderful writing. This old gent must be a special sort because there are not many who win both the military medal and the military cross. We are forever in their debt.

We need our stirkers to hit a bit of a scoring streak also -our top scorers are Miller (2) and Forrester (2) in the league so far this season. We have a lot of possession but don't score enough, we need at least one of these to hit a bit of form

they have improved on last year though with a couple of decent signings and a better manager who plays attacking football. then again, Barca did show them up for the lump of turd that they are :-) remember that semi final well, we did boss that encounter I thought we outplayed them for a lot of the game. Warburton needs to get that sort of display out of the team again on a consistent basis, he has done it in the past and he can do it again.

celtic are just a bit ahead of us in terms of quality and finances at the minute, but we are in the top league now and need to keep improving. they will inevitably end up selling their best players and Rodgers will probably get an EPL gig meaning they'll not maintain their advantage forever. At some point, we will need an injection of finances but Warburton still deserves time to show us how he can get out of this hole this season.

Bit of perspective needed here, clearly the premiership is a jump up in quality from the championship and we shouldn't be expecting to win in our first season. 2nd would be lovely but top 4 is what we should be realistically aiming for, top 2 next year and winning the following season.

we need a good start with high intensity, the sheep are mentally weak and will fold easily if we can keep applying pressure on them. Can't wait for this, come on Rangers!
