  1. Before that injury he has averaged 41 games a season for us, but aye always injured.
  2. The rules for both also say that the home kit that is submitted must be worn in every home game unless there is a clash with all combinations of the away team colours or with the match officials. SPFL rule G33 allows for a home team to wear another kit in a maximum of 4 home league games, as long as the club seeks approval 48 hours in advance. I'm pretty sure this will be the home kit for the full season with a new one released next year, but expect away and third kits to come in August.
  3. Both UEFA and SPFL rules state that kit designs that are submitted for the season can't be changed throughout the season, second and third strips can be released later though and King said in his press conference that they are working with PUMA to release these in the next couple of months. I think we should be giving him a decent amount of credit for getting this deal sorted, I think a lot of it had to do with pressure from SD shareholders, but the board should be praised for this as it's beyond what most fans would have expected.
  4. Aye cause the club is going to hold off for weeks, not design a new kit, submit the old kit, then sell them for half the price that a new kit would cost just for the fun of it.
  5. If you had watched King's press conference he made it pretty clear that they didn't even know if they were going to get a deal until this morning and he was thinking he would be flying back to South Africa on Friday with nothing, he also says discussions have been ongoing for 9 months and lawyers were still litigating this morning. So no way was the deal 'done and dusted' weeks ago, if it was they would have announced it then and released a new kit, or at least submitted another kit to UEFA last week, but as King himself says they didn't because the deal wasn't agreed until this morning. It is pretty easy to make a prediction about something when both King and Robertson have said in the last 3 months they were hoping to have something in place for the new season, it was obvious he meant a new deal with Sports Direct, doubt anybody believed they were just going to walk away.
  6. Suprised that even this pathetic rag would pay a football writer, who doesn't know that there is four European places in Scotland. Hearts are maybe breathing down St Johnstone's neck but we are virtually in the qualifiers, Hearts would need to win every game and we would need to loose them all, Rangers can only loose the Euro place on goal difference at this point. Not going to have much of a career to build making mistakes like that, why anyone would want a career with an organisation which routinely spreads lies, not just about our club, but about every subject they comment on, is beyond me though.
  7. Maybe I should have been more clear, by walking away I meant getting his agent to find him a move elsewhere which either involves a transfer fee or agreeing to a pay out with Rangers to move elsewhere. This happens all the time, especially with squad players which Halliday looks like becoming if we recruit well in the summer. He would take a pay cut, but he would still be on a decent wage at a Championship or even some League One sides. The question was more about would you jump before you were pushed. I don't think theres been hatred or disdain on this post but thats what I was getting at, could you see out your contract knowing the support that you have always been apart of are turning against you.
  8. I agree, it would be almost impossible for me to try to get a move away and would be in at training everyday working to get better and learning from ex-players like John Greig who is around the dressing room at most home games. The hardest part for me though would be like whats happening with Halliday just now with the fans wanting him out, if I genuinely knew I wasnt up to the standard, I couldn't have our fans remember me as someone who stuck around for the money or hung on for too long like McCoist.
  9. First post here, been reading for a while and thought it was about time I got inolved. Was just wondering, as we all know, Andy Halliday is just not Rangers standard. He is a decent enough player for a second rate team without the expectations of our cub, but will never make the grade for us. Andy probably realises this himself along with half the players, they will know they can't meet the expectations and will read whats said about them on social media. So the question is, Andy is on a 5 year contract, so if yous were Andy Halliday and got the chance to play for The Famous, and soon realised you were not up to the standard, would yous walk away to allow the club to progress, or hold on for as long as possible trying to get as much appearences for the club of your dreams? I just don't think we will be able to get rid of him, or even the likes of Waghorn and Kiernan, who will be getting the chance to play in Europe, which they go on about all the time and will be on wages they would never get anywhere else.
