  1. It's not just who we have bought though - although I maintain most of the new players will underachieve regardless - it's the areas we HAVEN'T strengthened. And that comes under recruitment policy. The fact we have started matches with Wright and Matondo on opposite wings - two players who weren't good enough last year when we fell miles short - is a fucking scandal. And these aren't isolated examples.
  2. Looking at it objectively, it was obviously the right decision and he probably should have been canned after the PSV/celtic debacle. Unlike others, I wish Beale no ill. He clearly loved the club and turned down a Prem job to come here - he just wasn't up to it, unfortunately. However, and there's no getting away from it, he has set us back possibly years. Our squad is absolutely terrible and it's not just his tactics that have failed him, but his recruitment, too. An awful combination and I fear we'll be seeing the remnants of it for months to come. I also think he'd have fucked the League Cup, and we still will anyway, because our playing squad is so poor and out of sorts.
  3. It is neither too early, but nor will it happen. I question whether this group have the stones to turn this around, but with Beale at the helm we have no hope of winning the league. If we let things fester, as we did under Gio, it will be too late by the time the change is made. While I'll openly admit that I didn't detest the initial appointment of Beale, I can admit that my optimism was, at best, misplaced. The board need to do the same and act. Yes, they will argue they have sanctioned his expensive signings and that we'd need to start again, but that doesn't mean persisting with Beale is a better option. Very few fans would blame them for pulling the trigger, and even fewer will have any hope that things will improve as time passes. On the contrary, the tramps were weak today and looked every inch a shite side, but they WILL improve as players come back for them. If we don't act now we can forget the league. What's more, I fear Beale is more than capable of making a prick of the League Cup as well, even though it's virtually a free hit. We have regressed. Beale has failed. There's no way back for him - or many of these players. Part ways and move on.
  4. Can't add anything that hasn't already been said but that was fucking abominable. I'm annoyed at myself for believing that maybe things might be different this year, and that we could go to a shitehole like Rugby Park and actually put on a show. Make no mistake, Kilmarnock are an absolutely horrifyingly bad side and they will give the filth absolutely no problems, even on their own embarrassment of a pitch. The frightening thing is the league itself is piss poor - as bad as it's ever been, probably - which means there is limited scope for the vermin to drop points against anyone else but us. So we're already playing catch-up. If we lose the OF in September, then it's not a stretch to say we'll already have an almost unassailable mountain to climb to win the league, as we'll HAVE to beat them at least twice in the other three OFs (two of which will be at Savile HQ). I fear we could be looking down the barrel of a nightmare, which seems a daft thing to say with 37 games to play. Hope to fuck I'm wrong.
  5. A rancid debut. Got cleaned out after about 20 minutes then didn't see him again. Am sure he's a nice technical footballer but as we all know, you need more than that if you are to flourish in this league because a lot of the games away from home are physical battles where the ref lets more go than players are used to on the continent. For more, one of the biggest worries, aside from the piss poor performance of Lammers, Dessers and Sima, was that they all seemed to occupy the same areas of the pitch which made the game extremely narrow. If that's not addressed immediately, we genuinely could fine ourselves in a position where the league is over before Christmas.
  6. Does seem premature to judge him off the back of some PSFs and one league game on that shite park, but wouldn't be a stretch to say he's shown absolutely nothing so far. Of all the signings we've made, this is the one that I find most baffling - in fact, more than that, concerning - especially if he is expected to be part of our front three. Can only assume he must have looked half decent at some point for Brighton to take a punt on him, so hopefully we see it sooner rather than later...
  7. Sakala's biggest moments in a Rangers shirt have literally been him missing two open goals against the filth and almost making a cunt of it in the very last OF, which sums him up. If you genuinely think history will be kinder to Sakala than Kent then I don't quite know what to say.
  8. Kent has/had a ceiling much higher than most, if not all, players in our current squad. Someone else will have to step up BIG TIME to match some of his best performances for us in Europe. Someone before mentioned Sakala, who could only dream of reaching that level even once.
  9. Well it's not like we currently have anyone else who does it better, is it? I think you're coming it a bit if you don't think Kent was a brilliant dribbler on his day. The way he went by 3 Dortmund players for Lundstram's goal when we slapped them at their place is one of countless examples where he has made a prick of defenders, in a way we don't see often at Rangers these days. I don't think it's a stretch to say replacing that quality - sparing though it is - won't be easy.
  10. Find the guy such an enigma in almost every way. On his day an excellent player - I'd be surprised if we sign anyone who can beat a man as easily as he can any time soon. But then he also had some absolute howlers. When he joined he seemed absolutely buzzing to have found a place to call home and to get out of Liverpool. And yet it seems like he couldn't wait to leave by the end of his contract with us. Don't really understand why? Fenerbahce is an interesting move, too. The Turkish league is very similar to ours in that it's comprised of mainly pish sides but with some absolutely massive clubs thrown in (in their case three or four, and in our case two). On the face of it, seems like a like-for-like switch for Kent in terms of club and league stature. Except I struggle to believe their fans will take to him as much as we did here (until it started fizzling out). My overriding thoughts are: it's a shame. He had some great moments for us but he had all the tools to be a legend at Rangers. Instead, he exits the back door without so much as an acknowledgement to Rangers or the fans. Definitely not how I saw it ending. I also thought Beale coming in would be enough to make Kent want to stay, but evidently that's not the case. Maybe Beale himself decided it was best for Kent to move on. I know it was intimated that it was a mutual agreement in the end, and deemed best for both parties, but I wonder whether that's really the case. Although he was pish last season and in parts of others, I'm disappointed. Possibly because I had high hopes for him, possibly because I believed he was better than he actually might be, and possibly because I thought he gave a toss about us and wanted to be here.
  11. I've forgotten about yesterday already. As chronic as it was, it meant and means nothing. All eggs in the one basket on Sunday. No further motivation SHOULD be required. 2-1 Rangers.
  12. That was absolutely rancid. I know that in the context of the season, and the fact Aberdeen are nobodies, the game means little, but the manner in which we caved in the second half is a huge concern. It's difficult to be confident about next week but Beale is right - it WILL be a different game. The tramps will come out to play and we will get space, but the biggest worry is do any of us really fancy our front 3 to actually take the chances that come our way? Because I don't. The season was done weeks ago, bar the Scottish Cup, so next week is all that matters - and the same was true before yesterday, too. The rest of our games mean nothing, and that itself tells you something about how much we've underachieved (again).
  13. Hope to fuck he’s okay. Awful to see him stretchered off in a brace. Looks a dreadful one.
  14. The kid is pony. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone take a first touch in their own 6-yard box, ever.
  15. Weekly plea for him to leave as soon as possible. A fraud.
  16. Can I assure you I wasn’t taking the piss and he’s been dross again today, along with the rest of those charlatans.
  17. There is never just a free pass for making mistakes. Ever.
  18. Not sure if you're taking the piss here, difficult to detect tone over text. For the record, I unequivocally do not believe it's fair to compare King to the likes of Bellingham and other top youngsters out there. I don't expect King to be at that level, or even remotely close to it - I was merely making the point that age shouldn't necessarily be a free pass for mistakes/bad performances.
  19. Yep, I don't disagree with anything you've said. I just don't think he's going to become the player many suspect(ed).
  20. Go, and go now. The scale of regression - notwithstanding injuries - is absolutely sickening.
  21. You may have heard of Giovanni Reyna and Jude Bellingham, who have already been to Ibrox this year. Perhaps Harvey Elliot, who scored against us a couple of weeks ago? Camavinga at Real Madrid? Ansu Fati at Barca? Gavi at Barca? Pedri at Barca? The German kid at Baynern whose name escapes me. That's without even trying think. So yes, there are plenty of kids who are playing at the highest level and standing out. Stupid to think otherwise. Regardless - what's your point? I haven't put King on that pedestal or in that company. I merely stated he's had some shockers - which he has. You were the one who made the daft remark suggesting there are no players of a young age performing consistently well. Which couldn't be more wrong. I'm not expecting heroics from King, or any Ranger. Blocking shots instead of waving them into the net, staying with your man, and not playing long diagonals across your own box would be a welcome start, though.
  22. You genuinely want me to name teenage players who are starting for and standing out for their current teams? Is that a serious question?
