  1. I think he’s slightly behind but your right he should have been able to tell Morelos was behind Candeias anyway. My point was that he can’t even claim it was due to his position because in that situation where he’s not sure the advantage is supposed to go to the attacking team. To flag for offside he’s saying he’s sure it’s off which is ridiculous because it’s clear he’s not in the position to make that call, as you said terrible decision.
  2. I might be wrong but I’ve always thought the rules state if the linesman isn’t sure then the benefit of the doubt goes to the attacking team? He’s clearly not positioned right so couldn’t tell so should have ruled onside. Looking at the image it looks as if Alfredo is behind Candeias when the ball is played anyway, so the goal should have been given.
  3. Just watched the fight and while it was a great fight it’s completely ruined by the corrupt judges. No way did Canelo win that, I had GGG by three. Disgrace.
  4. Can’t see this going any way other than a GGG win. Canelo threw everything at him in the first fight and GGG literally walked into some of them without flinching. If that was Canelo on drugs then clean he’s got no chance. Have no idea how they scored it a draw in the previous fight but expect justice to be done tonight and GGG to get the victory, probably by stoppage in the later rounds.
  5. Exactly the attitude I would expect from a Rangers manager! What a nice change from the previous few!
  6. Same happened to me in Menorca this year. Sat in a pub and bloke next to me at the bar had a Glasgow accent, asked him who he supported and he told me Partick Thistle! Told him I was Rangers and next thing we were having a chat about all things Rangers, said he just says he’s Partick to avoid the hassle he gets. Really drives me mad how some of ours think they need to hide who they support yet wherever I go I seem to see plenty of green and grey bastards all over the place. I always make a point of taking at least one Rangers shirt on holiday and have had some great chats with fellow bears who have come up to me.
  7. Sitting back and countering wasn’t the problem for me, the problem was we didn’t counter. I can see why Gerrard set us up like that after Thursday but when we got the ball we just played it long straight to then for them to come at us again, just like against Motherwell. If we going to play that way we need to learn what to do when get the ball, otherwise we’re just inviting pressure that will inevitably end up with us conceding.
  8. Decent signing. With the Europa group stages and hopefully a decent cup run we’re going to need a strong squad, I can’t see him being one of our first choice centre backs but with the amount of games we’ll be playing it’s pleasing to see we’ve got some decent players ready to step up when others need a rest.
  9. Would much rather have Lafferty starting than Kent! He along with Ejaria proved they’re not cut out for those types of games. Candeias for Kent and a fit Coulibaly for Ejaria would have made a massive difference imo.
  10. The biggest problem for me was how deep we were with 11 men behind the ball at times. We know they want to press us high up so we can’t pass the ball out of defence so our only option was to play it long and it went straight to them to start another attack every bloody time.
  11. Deserves a ban, but as has been said now they’ve set a precedent with Naismith for no reason other than so they didn’t have to take action against Brown I don’t see how they can, but this is Scottish football and the rules will change week to week to suit them. Still I’m glad he gave them a bit rather than just letting them walk all over us and at least he was smart enough to do it when the ref couldn’t see!
  12. Agree with everything he said except about the foul leading up to the goal, if jack stays on his feet and tracks back the goal doesn’t happen imo. It pleases me we have a manager who sees where the problems are. He identified it in pre season with the player he’s brought in and he can see it today. Give Gerrard time and he’ll bring 55 I’ve no doubt about that.
  13. Said it before the game and still think it after, he’s a not the player for an old firm game. Coulibaly in his place and we’d have got a draw today.
  14. Get 12 from 12 and today will look irrelevant, they’ll drop points for sure. Time now for the team and Gerrard to show what they’re made of but it’s a long season and if we play to our best the tables going to look very different in a months time.
  15. We were poor in the first half but the second was 50/50. Gerrard is still learning as a manager and will learn more from today than he probably has all season so far. At ibrox that would have been a different game and last season we would have lost that 4 or 5 instead of 1-0. Theres a long way to go but we’ve got players still to come in and players and a manager still learning. We weren’t at our best today but I’m confident we can give them a good run for the title this year. As long and we learn and improve and stick together we’ll be right up there.
  16. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a retrospective ban for this kick but fuck me I was pleased to see him do it! Streetwise enough to do it out of sight of the ref and showed we’re not going to be bullied by them anymore. Some class saves today, hes going to make a huge difference over the course of the season and he’s one of those players I would much rather have on our side than against us!
  17. At ibrox that would be a different game. We’ve been there and lost by a worse score line with much better teams who have experience of these games. Today was a disappointment especially the first half but after what we’ve put up with the last few seasons this was an improvement. There’s a long way to go but today showed we have nothing to fear from these bastards. The gap is closing and with Coulibaly fit I think we’d have got a draw today, watched it in a pub with 2 celtic supporters in there who both agreed they won’t have it as easy this season as they have before. The team and manager are all still learning and there’s going to be ups and downs, but I can honestly say after today If we all stick together and back the manager and players there’s no way they’ll see 10 in a row.
  18. Really hope he’s fit for tomorrow, think he’s made for games like this! I’d probably drop Ejaria though, he’s played really well recently but I’m not sure and OF game is right for him. Would rather have a midfield of Jack Coulibaly and Arfield and have a bit more strength defensively because I can see it being a real battle in the middle tomorrow.
  19. Seeing it written down like that shows just how good a transfer window it’s been! We are massively improved in every position from last season.
  20. Think there’s going to be goals Sunday! Really feel they’re there for the taking but the main thing for me going into this is we don’t lose. If they do beat us it will give them a new lease of life after the mess they’re currently in. A win for us on the other hand and they’ll be in full blown meltdown! Going for 3-2 to us but as I said a draw away wouldn’t be the worst result!
  21. Just being in the groups stages again is an incredible achievement and anything else is a bonus. Having said that despite it being a tough group I don’t see any reason we couldn’t get 2nd if we’re at our best!
  22. What’s the chances of getting tickets for a group game without being a st holder? Desperate to try get up to Ibrox this season, plus never been to a European game so would love to go? Will it be easier getting tickets than a league game or do I have no chance?
  23. Came home from work and starting singing we’re on our way to my three year old, he’s remembered all the words from last time I sung it to him and was running around the house singing it over and over, fucking buzzing! Hopefully plenty more great European nights as he grows up! Cant belive the feel good factor Stevie and this team have brought already! On to Sunday now time to put those bastards back in their place!
  24. Was at work so couldn’t watch or check my phone regularly, and I must say I’m glad I don’t think my heart could have taken that! Amazing achievement and full credit must go to gerrard and everyone of the players! Getting through that with 9 men is going to be a massive boost for Sunday! Now let’s hope the taigs get knocked out tonight after playing extra time!
