In recent years we have had Allan McGregor, Ryan Jack, Andy Halliday, Scott Arfield & Steven Davis at the club and we have still collapsed multiple times. 
It’s never brought up as an issue until we go on a bad run and then suddenly there’s a clamour for it among a small section of the support.

The main reason is pressure. The league looked lost when Clement came in and the turnaround was impressive. But once these players got top of the league you could see the drop off. They can't cope with the pressure.
Barring one season 55 we've seen that under 4 different managers now. 
Guarantee if the league is lost soon they'll start playing again because that's what they have always done when pressure is gone. 
Clement I think is the right manager. He's got to be backed and if he wants to be successful here he's got to move on the repeat losers.

It’s like banging your head against a brick wall , no change in formation , shape or tactics is going to give these players the ability to win. We’ve seen this over and over again, four managers in 4 different systems , 4 different play styles , the players are fucking losers.

If Cortes, Danilo, ridvan and Sima were all fit I have no doubt we’d have been better off than where we are now. The fact we actually went top again was nothing short of a miracle with this squad.
He can’t play the way he wants because we have barely any depth and poor quality in that depth.
It’s time we put faith in a manager and ditch the old guard. It’s no longer about ability it’s about attitudes, mentality and accepting being second best that is now more damaging. Having a team of limited ability players that give everything every match, that follow instructions and are organised and work as a unit defensively and offensively will get you better results than a team of players with ability when they can be bothered trying.

It’s not just the same shitebags, it’s the players we bring in too. Outwith Butland, there doesn’t seem to a winning mentality among any of them - Davies, Matondo, Raskin, Cantwell, Dessers..money down the toilet to just leave us with more of the same.

It was 5 years ago now. As captain and then as the senior leadership group, they’ve not once tried to change it. That’s the issue.

As I said in the match thread, Clement won three league titles in the three full seasons he had in Belgium, and was on his way to a fourth when he left to go to Monaco. He’s probably the most successful manager we can get at our level.
If he can’t get these players to put an effort in, who will?
The board need to give him the resources to clear out the decks and build his own team - they let Beale do what he wanted, so Clement needs that opportunity as well.

Unfortunately I can. We've seen this story before. Team gets into a decent position to win the title and they then fall apart under the pressure.

There should be a lot of wages freed up with the number that are out of contract, but I just feel we need many more than them moved on and replaced. We would get money for some if we make the effort to sell. 
It is a massive job, hopefully Nils Koppen can find some gems. 
I know this is not for this thread, but I feel our board have to be looking for outside investment to come in as well. 

Squad needs gutted and has done for some time. 
If the title is gone that's CL money that could have helped. 
We'll need player sales and wages freed up when out of contract players go. Sale wise but Butland might be the only one that could fetch a decent fee.
