  1. Granted "The Power" was the dominant force at the oche after Eric Bristows heyday and the BDO/WDC (PDC) Split of 1993 but Mike Gregory was always the bridesmaid in a similar vain to Dave Whitcombe in the 80s being in the shadow of The Crafty Cockney and the palls of smoke on stage, I think wee Jockey Wilson got through two packets of Lambert And Butler per set.
  2. Pundits and fans alike are hailing the MVG v Rob Cross semi-final as the greatest darts game ever, it was nailbiting stuff but it only just slightly lacked the ultimate drama of the BDO Lakeside Final of 1992 (yes I am middle aged) between Mike Gregory and Phil Taylor, how Gregory never won a world title is beyond me.
  3. Stafford Rangers probably Stafford Rangers probably.
  4. Next stop will be Solihull Motors in the Vanarama National League, onwards and downwards Mr W.
  5. Managed 37 games, won 15, drew 3 and tasted defeat in 19 since taking the reins at the City Ground in March, a rather mouldy and crusty record for Warburton.
  6. Can't claim to have ever met him but saw Artur Numan many, many times for club and on international duty for De Oranje, a fitting description was he never ran but ''glided'' such was his graceful presence on the field, his knowledge of the game even in a casual capacity would be invaluable to the next generation of Gers.
  7. Tav was Man Of The Match for me, on another day he'd have been on the scoresheet, give him what he wants contract-wise, hell of a player.
  8. The resilience of the defence at (Bh)easter Road against Hibs did instill me with some optimism and today again showed that Mr Murty is no slouch, David Bates can only improve, this ain't over, Happy Blue Year.
