  1. Reminds me a lot of that lad we sold to Aberdeen
  2. If Tillman has a significant injury, that will only increase his appeal to Rangers
  3. Yilmaz will be more sellable after a season of first team appearances, in Turkey or wherever. He’s clearly not part of Beale’s plans and, with Borna’s contract up next summer, he really needs to go for whatever we can get but it has be now. New LB imo
  4. Heartbreaking to watch these two walk out of Ibrox in these circumstances. Fucking criminal tbh. 😡
  5. If they’re into signing wasters, we can do a deal on a bulk delivery.
  6. Don’t know about his final contract with the scum but the previous one that Tierney signed was 4k per week. Promising youngster who went on to make them millions. Would Johnston come to us for 4/5k per week?
  7. There is absolutely no excuse for including Kent or Morelos in the squad, let alone the starting line up. They are now ex-players in the minds of the Rangers support.
  8. Think I first saw it with doubles tennis where it made a little sense (“go wide” or “down the middle”). Love the idea that someone in the scum wall lipreads what they’re planning and moves the wall two metres to the left
  9. Wright would have offered more than Kent or Morelos on Sunday and he’ll leave having some great memories including that goal in last year’s SC final.
  10. Stop torturing yourself, mate - that’s what your wife is for.
  11. I understand your thinking but few players, when faced with “you’re not in my plans”, are willing to just sit in the stand week after week and take the money. Their career is short and there is also personal pride. Balde famously stayed put but I don’t think there have been that many. If we’re honest with the player about his prospects, most will accept the reality and move on, especially if they’ve earned well while at Rangers.
  12. Good to have forthright discussions with our players. If they are unlikely to make the first eleven (or even the bench), best to be straight with them and let them get a head start on finding new clubs. As others have said, it’s a conversation we need to have with most of the squad so looking forward to hearing who’s next.
  13. They imploded having lost their captain, manager, CEO, star striker (Edouard) and then spent months chasing Eddie Howe who eventually told them to fuck off. Their recovery shows what is possible so I don’t accept the “multiple windows to get things right” theory. Goldson and Souttar with Raskin and Cantwell in front of them is the platform to build from. An entire forward line needed. Our failings recently have been in the mind, not the legs - we need to start recruiting players as much for their mental strength as their skill at beating a man.
  14. He was everywhere yesterday because Raskin was not fully fit and his other mate was Lundstram who seems to get deeper than Titanic every time I see him. Cantwell was immense and another four or five like him would have seen a very different outcome.
  15. Playing these two means that we are starting with nine men. We played a European final without a conventional striker so Morelos can get to fuck. Beale has Wright, Sakala, Matondo, Lovelace and possibly Colak to cobble together some form of attacking system but playing Morelos and/or Kent simply looks like weakness.
  16. Classic example. He's not worth much but allowing him to run out his final year would be gross incompetence. Are we likely to want him beyond summer ‘24? Not a chance. So he must be sold this summer while he still has minimal value.
  17. I don’t know much about Dowell but my initial thoughts are these: 1. Beale’s two immediate signings (Cantwell & Raskin) have been successful. 2. If Dowell shows the same level of commitment as his former Norwich team-mate did today, he’ll be a vast improvement. Seems to me that Beale had to persevere with the dross and the lousy attitudes he inherited until they could be replaced or rehabilitated but that all changes now that the season is effectively over.
  18. Spot on. “The squad is bloated” has been the mantra for ages but it’s been bloated with shit who contribute nothing. 12 out and 6 or 7 better players in plus develop the best of the youngsters. There must also be more Tillman-like deals with option to buy around.
  19. If we didn’t need such a monumental overhaul, it would be a no-brainer. However, we need so many new faces, we can’t afford/justify £5m on a prospect.
