Yeah, but if we lose this title, it’s solely on our players. Their attitude and mentality was nowhere near good enough at the start of the season or post split. Some of the points dropped have been fucking criminal

It drives me fucking mental how many corners we give away late in games. Nearly every game these days! -

It’s quite telling how often we’ve all said that over the years. Quite simply, he generally has great work rate but when it comes to numbers/consistent impact, he flatters to deceive. For me, he just doesn’t have the mentality to go up a level. Same with Aribo and Kamara - they’re too nice when they need to be ‘killers’. -
Tbf, it really has taken on the look of a team that have either downed tools because they’re mentally weak shitebags, or they have little faith in Gio. Or both. I can only imagine his message isn’t clear enough as they look lost and seriously lacking in confidence. No excuse for how utterly abject they were though.

Saddens me to say it, but I think Gio’s pretty much done for already. Not sure whether his instructions are overly complicated, or just plain flawed, but he appears to have lost the players already. That said, the players since the start of the season have been empty shells and too haven’t turned up. They should be ashamed. To hand this celtic team, after all their own chaos over the summer, and after us winning 55, will go down as one of the, if not the, most shameful campaigns ever.

This is a shameful, shameful performance. Players have shat it, lack the hunger and Gio doesn’t look like he’s up to it. Shambles. -

This, absolutely. Approach is everything in fuelling the belief of the players. Always remember the car crash of SG’s approach in that first old firm game a few years back where he bottled it and went too cautious. As soon as the teams came out, we were dreading it and the confidence was gone. I am concerned Gio’s going to make the same mistake. Other biggest thing for me is we need Roofe, Kent and Diallo to show up and crucially, hold the ball up. We’ve often been fucking terrible at holding the ball up top and taking pressure off the defence in OF /big games. But if we’re on it, we’ll smash them -

I find it totally depressing that we’re even having to talk about losing to this mob. Player for player, we’re miles ahead and should be taking care of this game no problem. However, given how poor our players’ attitude and approach has been in games this season, we’ve let them back in and allowed the tide to turn somewhat. Losing the title to this mhanks team would be unforgivable. The players need to step up, tune in and grow a set. -
A lot of people are saying Gio’s approach is way off with trying to shut up shop. Truth is though, that had been happening since the start of the season under SG. We were incapable of properly killing off teams. Big players aren’t performing for him right now but some of his decisions are baffling. From starting Itten to putting on Lundstram instead of Jack when he’s shown zero interest/little trust in having JL as a mainstay. Jack is clearly the more controlled, calming influence on the team: finding space for receiving passes, helping out teammates, tactic nous and playing simple, clever passes. He gets subbed on, I think it’s likely we win that game. Allied to horrific errors, Gio made a cunt of it. A total clusterfuck of a day.

Na man, that stat really isn’t relevant in the present form. You’re comparing apples and pears. We’re nowhere near the same team we were last season and for the majority of that run. For weeks now, we’ve been just scraping wins, and then increasingly getting found out, like today. It’s looking very like the team’s on a downwards spiral, which is totally ridiculous, and even if we win on Wednesday, would you put your mortgage on this team hitting some serious momentum? We’ve just had a winter break and the players look flat with zero intensity/desire.

Can’t see it man. It feels like there’s a downwards spiral. There’s no heart, desire, steel or intensity across the tram. Some individuals, yeah. But nowhere near enough. Bottle’s crashed. -
That’s possibly the biggest shambles that we’ve seen for some time, given the players that were out there. These players have absolutely BOTTLED this season. Truly shameful. The tide has turned and it should never have close to happening.

Utterly, utterly unacceptable. Totally unacceptable. Our lack of ability to keep possession caused that. -

Our hold up play is too often absolutely pish. We’re so untidy/lack conviction in it at keys times That’s still a big concern for me for Wednesday. -

This is pathetic. Totally fucking pathetic. Other than the odd individual, the team look clueless and almost disinterested in actually winning this. Where’s the hunger and intensity to put them under pressure? We’re in real trouble -

Has to be said, from Gio’s earliest games, we’ve been nowhere near at the levels. Tbf, we’ve been like that the whole season. Very little fluidity in our game this season. -

If we’re up for it, on the front foot and play smart given the conditions, we win. Don’t do that, and there’s a good chance we’ll fuck ourselves -
I actually think we had a bit more energy and intensity about us at times tonight (but could, and should, have more). For me, the bigger issue isn’t the style, but how little quality certain players had at key times and how poor some of their decision making was.
