I actually think the arrogant overconfidence coming from them about the next Old Firm is a positive for us. They are already acting as if it is a formality. If we pick the right team and grab an early goal we can win, and my God, how sweet it would be to watch 60k of their fans witness it.

These players can’t cut out the sloppy goals though.
It’s the same all the time.
We won 1 game away in Europe, Betis and even at that we had to score 3 goals.

I'm no fan of referees/officials in this country, but given all the controversy I think they handled the game pretty well.
The problem with Var is that when you see contact when the image is frozen you have to give it. The fact that it was been deemed to go to var also already creates doubt in the referees mind, thats human nature.
Their logic makes no sense: if the referee was a cheat, why would his initial reaction be to book a Rangers player for diving and deem no pen?

We are utterly awful in transition defence - their 3rd goal a superb example of what I've been moaning about with @McEwan's Lager all season.
Players just get pulled out of position and consistently make the wrong decisions then leave our defenders man-for-man at the back and 3 of our 4 defenders playing yesterday are truly awful 1v1 - we've conceded goals like that all season. Dowell is getting slated for jogging back but his initial position when Cantwell turns the ball over is the primary issue
Given Clement has been in the door for months now and we've seen huge improvement in every other area of our game, I'm assuming he has been working on it with the team but they're just not good enough.

Was a massive disappointment.  We all expected him to do better. But can add him to the long list of players that look like they are spooked by the intensity of the fixture.
Completely baffles me watching our players against them, as if they are spooked/surprised by their intense high press. Its the one thing you must know is coming against their players for the last 2 years.  Take less touches, be direct when you need to. Its as if we still try and play the old Gerrard/Beale tactics against them, when we no longer have the players to keep the ball in tight areas and midfield, and when they now play completely differently with high pressing players.

My biggest concern is how easily we are conceding bad goals atm.
The first half was a disaster, so we did well to salvage something. If we had lost that the game was up.  But until we stop leaking goals I sadly have low confidence we'll win all the remaining away games we have. Sterling in midfield, Ridvan back, and Goldson finding some sort of form again would be a start.

Lawrence sits at the top of that list. An abysmal performance that should have seen him hooked by half time if not earlier

    Said this elsewhere.
That 5, between the defence and Dessers, has to be the way to go for the run-in.
Leaves Diomande, Raskin, Dowell, McCausland, Silva, Roofe, Jack as back up although I can’t see the last two wearing the jersey again.

Said it before on here but it’s no coincidence we done well in OF games when we had Davis and prime Jack and Kamara.
They gave us a level of control in these games and Euro games and that just now is what we miss.
The manager has a decision now to make. Does he stick with the 4-2-3-1 or go for a more solid 4-3-3 when we go to their shithole.

These games are always won and lost in the middle of the park.
I'd love Sterling in there. Dowell coming on and playing bright, you could see the difference.
We need to make sure we dominate duels and battles in there - we were far too light weight. Not the only probelm, but a big one, we need to go and dominate the centre of the park, give cover to our leaky defence, and set the tone from winning 50/50 battles

He could win the league for us. The difference having his pace and power in our final third is so noticable.

It’ll all be worthwhile so you can say you were there when at 0-0 and 96 minutes on clock, CD9 goes through 1 on 1 with Joe Hart, rounds him and hits the ball into the Copland Road stand

One that always stands out in my memory was the 1-0 game at their midden in 96 when Laudrup scored, Gazza missed the penalty, Van Hoijdonk missed and Van Vossen had that crazy miss. Was one of the craziest games I've ever seen. Remember watching it when I was young on Sky Sports.
In terms of significance its either the 1-0 Hateleys return 9 in a row game, or the 3-0 McCann game.  There were a few pumpings at Ibrox under Advocaat as well that were amazing.
