Probably the best start to a Rangers career in my life time alongside Marco Negri. But he was a better footballer than Negri and he done it to an extent in Europe.
He was brilliant but I think maybe (and this is going to be extremely controversial) overrated by our support because of his injury when he got it as it became a bit of a what if.
Its possible that was just an outstanding purple patch of his career given his age and that none of the big three had come in for him (had started his career at Ajax but was released).

You’re right and to be fair we’ve scored more of our fair share of set piece goals this season but that’s not the main reason he’s on the park.
I’m not Goldson and Taverniers biggest fan but I’m so bored of them being the go to for criticism after a big defeat when I wouldn’t even put them in the worst 5 performers from Sunday.

No one is claiming he was ‘sparkling’ but he was no worse than Barisic, Balogun,Kamara,Morelos, Kent and McGregor especially for the second goal to name a few but for some reason he’s being hung out to dry and the others aren’t subjected to anywhere near the same criticism 

One example from 20 years ago after a personality clash between manager and captain during a season when we got scudded in the league and because we had a clear and obvious replacement for the role already at the club. None of those things are happening at the club right now.
