papaguy51 912
I wonder if Smith's ever been criticised for having too many attackers before.

McBoyd 355
I am very excited about this signing, maybe because of the lack of signings, or the sheer suprise of it, but more than ever, to see a winger at Ibrox again. For too long have we been trying to fill that space with players that just aren't ment to play there, Adam, Lafferty, Smith (who did not bad).. Then theres Beasley FINALLY could we have solved the problem? Do the pieces of the puzzle finally fit? MON THE ROTHEN!!

BlueSuedeSambas 53,775
I said at the start of this thread that I would be astonished if we signed Rothen. At this moment in time I am asthonished!
papaguy51 912
It's weird to think that even though we're though to have a left winger problem, we have DaMarcus Beasley and Jerome Rothen

bluenose_72 198
It's weird to think that even though we're though to have a left winger problem, we have DaMarcus Beasley and Jerome Rothen Even if Beasley stays, I doubt he will get any sort of look in this season. Although I hope he does, I don't think we will see Rothen playing as a winger as such. I think he'll be asked to get hang on the left hand side and whip the ball in nice and early much like Smith was doing towards the end of last season. laudrupforever 17
if he signs im get his name on the bck of ma gers top :gerbad: Will be doing the same if we manage to get him. Could be signing of the season in the SPL if we can make it happen. *crosses fingers and looks to sky*
bluepeter 5,627
God, I hope this is true. Would be great news! Posted this in the other Rothen thread, sweet passing Can't watch video just now McB, I'm on near dial-up speed internet here I'm excited about this signing though, can't wait to see him in a Rangers top! I mean just on name and reputation - two good wingers to have. Pity that you need to take form into account

He's never going to be a touchline-hugger, I expect to see him play eight or nine yards inside.
BlueSuedeSambas 53,775
Before the Rothen story broke, skysports said that Olympikos were interested in Beasley. I wonder if that one will get pushed through too.

Amac9 2,060
If Rothen can play the way he is capable of on a consistant basis he will turn out to be a real coup. Jerome Rothen playing for Rangers just does not sound right. But let's make it happen!
papaguy51 912
Anyway, the big question; Will Papac pass to him? Old Sasa has a real problem passing to the winger in front of him!
