ClydebankBearWATP 877
Mendes will get paid even if aldo makes it so he will def be readyI thought at the time that mcgregor should have fought mendes to earn a shot at Aldo anywayThat's what I thought as well mcgregor beat nobody of true worth to earn that shot, should of faced mendes or lamas before aldo. I think mendes or aldo beats him.Absolutely gutted about aldo getting injured
Polo 1,433
Yup, wanted to see Aldo obliterate him. Don't think it's fair asking him to fight with a bruised rib tbh. He will be nowhere near tip top and he usually needs to cut quite a bit of weight too.
the goal machine 7,801
That's Aldo officially out of the fight, McGregor-Mendes it is then.
gogzy 31,195
That's Aldo officially out of the fight, McGregor-Mendes it is then. Not good that Aldo is out, but IMO it's a good thing that we get to see him face someone like Mendes first. You gotta beat someone like that to earn a title shot, or at least you should have to. It depends if Mendes is fully prepared IMO. Taking on McGregor with only a few weeks of training under his belt will be very tricky but I suppose McGregor wasn't planning on facing a great wrestler. I'd probably still back McGregor but I think it's a more interesting fight now. An injured Aldo would have got finished quickly I think. Back2BackChampions 31
As much as I was looking forward to Aldo fight, at least this way McG will have at least earned his shot at the belt if he beats Mendes. Outside of Aldo I feel he's the best in the division.Roll on the 11th
Gillete 1,338
Finally we should see him face someone at least on his level now Last few fighters he's gone through them for fun (not his fault of course)
.Williamson. 82,177
Aldo should be stripped of the title for being a fanny
Creampuff 22,628
Not sure how I've missed this thread upto now Gutted Aldo-McGregor won't be happening. McGregor did skip the queue without really fighting any of the other real contenders in the division, but there's really no one else for Aldo to fight McGregor-Mendes should still be a good fight. kaiser1041 9,088
Creating a intern title fight is a fucking last ditch attempt at salvaging the card.this whole bout has been a slap in the face to proper competition. a guy who fought none of the top five gets a shot off of a big mouth.Aldo may have run through the division but a second fight between him and Edgar would be great. Polo 1,433
Well said Jose!"If he beats Chad Mendes, the only thing he will have is a toy belt to show his drunk friends in his country's bars, because thats what an interim belt represents to me: a toy. I am the champion" mulvay

CaptainAmerica18 846
Thinking about heading over to Dusseldorf for the Fury-Klitschko fight. Hopefully to see that gypsy fuck get his head knocked in.

JamieD 18,932
Froch saying he's too big and strong for GGGHearn said on talksport the other night that he thinks carl wont fight even though GGG is desperate to fight him.He actually appears to have bulked up, as if to have a legit excuse not to fight GGG. If he just said "I don't want it at this stage in my career" then I would respect that but he's calling GGG out WHILE explaining why he won't. RangersMedia 35,961
Not totally boxing related but fair play to Amir Khan - I slate him constantly but he's been doing a series of charity events in the UK during Ramadhan. Last night in Glasgow he helped raise over £100k for orphans in Gambia. Good stuff.
