You know I agree with the Taylor point, but tonight Wade really couldn't be faulted that he froze up etc...

Taylor to hit 2 nine darters which basically decided this final, was nothing short of darting genius and you just have to stand up and admire it.

Any player who wins 8 legs against Taylor who hits two 9 darters and a 10 darter isn't exactly freezing.

Did I say he did?

Misread that sorry (tu)

Darts fans can now relive the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts semi-final between Phil Taylor and Mervyn King with a difference - by watching footage of the commentary featuring Stephen Fry.

Fry, the revered actor, writer and director, joined Sid Waddell and Rod Harrington in the Sky Sports commentary box for Monday's semi-final at the Wembley Arena.

The match was won 8-1 by Taylor, with Fry appearing to thoroughly enjoy sitting alongside two of darts' most famous commentators for the semi-finals.

Footage of the commentary box camera, with match footage of the semi-final inset, is available in Sky Anytime for Sky subscribers.

Waddell revealed after the commentary that he Fry had made a huge impression whilst joining him on the microphone - showing a fine knowledge of darts in the process.

"I don't think anybody on the planet - actor, comedian or sportsperson - could have come in as a novice and taken on a major darts commentary as well as Stephen Fry did," said Waddell.

"He dealt with the commentary incredibly well. On one side of him was myself [and] on the other side was the experienced Rod Harrington, and yet he had the guts and talent to pull it off plus a great knowledge of the game.

"He even got some of the finishes before our spotter, Keith Deller."

Draw has thron up some cracking looking matches and some of the younger players look to have a bright future ahead of them with the likes of young Monk , Cullen and the lad that drew Whitlock . also look forward to a high scoring slugfest from big Mike and Ando (tu)
