Has there ever been any official word from Middlesbrough that they want rid of him? All this stems from a newspaper article claiming that Mowbray had to get rid of the high earners and Boyd was one of them

He started last week, for the record

mowbray said he was deffo part of there plans and he couldnt have a goalscorer like boyd in the team and not try to find a way to utilise his ability :sherlock:

You have to laugh at Strachan's masterplan of partnering Boyd and McDonald

Boyd has 5 goals in 6 months and McDonald has 10 goals in 12 months

rumour is hes off to bursaspor too.. anyone heard that one?

Just been watching the Miller unveiling on YouTube - thousands of fans, flares, utter bedlam. Can't wait to see what they do for Boydy...

From Andrew Dickson's Twitter.

He also signed Lee Miller from Aberdeen, he hardly played let alone scored

Think he was sent to Notts County on loan.

Bizarre opinion to have of Novo especially

Well he was only a stand in for most of his career at 'brox, so don't see any reason to bring him back to do same yet a further year older.

Reason for him please

Would be a great partner for Jela. We know beyond question he would give everything and he had a decent scoring record when starting regularly. I rate Novo a better player than Miller.

For the rest of the season before McCoist takes charge and in our current situation, I think Novo would be a perfect loan signing. What a boost the team would get with the wee man back!

Novo is better than the vast majority of realistic alternatives

We already know he's good enough for the SPL so there's no worry about adapting etc

Very unlikely to happen all the same
