BLAZING DESERT has been shaping as if gradually running into form and might be able to take advantage of a favourable mark at Wolverhampton this evening. He raced three wide and saw daylight throughout here last time, but still looked a major player when moving into the lead 3f out travelling easily, before his exertions took their toll in the straight, still not beaten far in fourth. Although he’s a ten-year-old, he shapes as if retaining plenty of ability and was regularly competitive off much higher marks than this last winter, winning off 64 and 69 but racing off 57 today. He’s 8lb better off with Uncle Bernie compared with their last meeting, having finished in front of that rival on his previous start, and he should go well off reasonable odds. Sergeant Pink is another veteran to consider after catching the eye when set too much to do on his latest Flat effort, but whether he can build on that effort over this shorter trip remains to be seen.

Let's hope for a good day in the Desert :-))

The 'Fab Lolly' win gets a free bet of the same stake in the 2.30 Lingfield with 365s Channel4+1 offer.

Just included that as well as my stake from last night.

So if I put on the same amount I put on Fab Lolly you get your stake back if it gets beat ? Or is it if it finishes 2nd ?

Simon Dow, who had a winner here on Wednesday, saddles Golden Desert in the next (2.00) and said: "He is training nicely and is dropped in class so we are hoping that he can get some luck in running this time around."
