theblueoysterbar 19,532
Looks a not bad day for the horses tomorrow.A few multiples on Messrs Botti and Gosden, wee single on Ismail Mohammed in the 6.45 at Kempton and a couple of placepots at Chester, loaded with favourites and permed with a couple of others. mrwin 393
It’s David Barron who steps into the limelight today and he comes to the course with a 24% strike rate for a level stakes profit of £23.50p. He’s two runners at the course but the one that offers more value runs in the 1.45.Tres Coronas has disappointed on his return this season however conditions haven’t been ideal and coming back to Chester should see him prefer the stiffer track after hopefully improving on his recent runs. He won at this meeting last year and although the ground would be better with some soft in it I think that’s reflected in the price but with rain forecast I think we could see the price collapsing as the ground softens up. It’ll be a win only bet for me as always but I know some of you go each way.:-) Sasa_Papac_No1_Fan and ianb1547

mrwin 393
Gabbiano tailed off a pretty good season last year with three disappointing runs, however the best of those three runs was here at Ascot. Earlier in the season he’d won twice at this course and just missed out on a hat-trick when coming second by a quarter of a length. It’s clear to see that he likes it round here and with the ground likely to suit he should be going close again today. Jockey Robert Tart is close to losing his 3 lb claim with 4 more winners under his belt in the last two weeks and gets the confidence vote in terms of ability. My only concern is Gabbiano may need the run as he’s not won when fresh but that’s not always a solid enough reason to ignore a horse. He’s a massive price at the current 18/1. It’s a tough race to price up but I’d be happy with around the 9/1 mark. It’s also a highly competitive race so it becomes a rare betting decision to go each way about this one!Selection: Gabbiano in the 7.15 Ascot at 18/1 with William Hill for an each way bet.:-)
