mrwin 393 Posted September 29, 2012 Share Posted September 29, 2012 ANGEL GABRIAL (Newmarket 5.25) is a horse who has been running well all season, yet all the time looking like a horse that would improve again over 1m4f (often finishing strongly), unsurprising given that he's a son of Hurricane Run, whose progeny tend to stay well. After a number of efforts over 1m2f where he was strongest at the finish, he shaped very well on his first start over 1m4f in a hot handicap at Ascot last time, travelling well but having only three of the 18 runners behind him entering the short straight but making progress all the way to the line despite having to be switched twice. He shaped as if well handicapped despite finishing only sixth and runs off the same mark again here; the jockeys should at least all be aware of any track bias by the last race of the day and I'll be disappointed if he doesn't run well.
