Friendlies are brutal.

Took Belgium last night after looking on OLBG and seeing 81% of tips in their favour. Then went looking for team line ups and came across 89% tips for Columbia on Goal.

Good luck anyway got a couple of wee bets on myself (tu)

If anybody has worse luck than me they must be one really unlucky bastard, Germany hit the inside of the post 92nd minute rolls back to a German player for a tap in and his own player gets I'm his way and they lose it :anguish:

15l behind second last mate so not all bad :D

Although yer tips have been great recently

Anyway onto today and like yesterday we’re heading away from the highly and difficult to price up races of Cheltenham and sticking with Lingfield. The 2.00 sees 12 runners go to post in this Class 2 handicap run over 1 mile. Of the 12 runners it’s one of Tom Dascombes runners that look to be in with a chance and gives us some value. Dascombe comes here with a 23% strike rate for a level stakes profit of £45.75p. He’s two runners at the track but the one we want is 4 year-old gelding Anaconda.

Anaconda comes here having disappointed last time out at this track last month. However I’m hoping he can improve today and the extra furlong should suit. He has won here before back in January despite it only being a class 4. I don’t think Dascombe would enter him if he didn’t think he was in with a chance and based on my tissue he should be around the 8/1 mark so the 14/1 available with PaddyPower looks terrific value.

Selection: Anaconda in the 2.00 Lingfield at 14/1 with PaddyPower for a win only bet.

:-)

We head to Fontwell today for their third race on the card and our trainer that catches the eye in the 1.50 is Oliver Sherwood. He comes here today with just the one runner and looks to maintain his 25% strike rate for a level stakes profit of £53.50p. His only runner being Camden.

Camden comes here for his seasonal debut and races under the same weight as a good looking second last time out at this course and distance. He’s proven to relish the heavy going and won by 14 lengths at Lingfield in January of this year. Leighton Aspell is booked to ride again today and he’s found good rhythm on our horse today so should know what to do to get our boy up to the line. It is a step up in class but looking through the form I think he’s ready to take this lot on and looks like a good value win bet at 6/1 as I’ve got him down as a 7/2 shot on my tissue.

Selection: Camden in the 1.50 Fontwell at 6/1 with Bet365 for a win only bet.

At first glance BIG CASINO looks up against it in the opening conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle at Cheltenham today (1.00), burdened with top weight after a 16lb ride following his recent Carlisle win. However there are reasons to think he might be up to the task. That was his first start for Nigel Twiston-Davies, and having been well backed before the race, he had matters in control some way out. The form looks solid, with runner-up Talking Sence never looking like getting beaten off a 5lb higher mark next time, and Big Casino's big weight will be reduced by the claim of Ryan Hatch, who has already ridden a Cheltenham Festival winner and has been going well in recent months but can still claim 5lb in this conditionals' event, plus the extra 3lb for riding for his own stable. Once young hurdlers from this yard start to improve, they often progress to a remarkable degree, as we saw last season with the likes of African Gold, Master Of The Sea and Kaylif Aramis, all of whom started from very humble handicap marks, and there might be plenty more improvement in Big Casino for Twiston-Davies.
