Broxi1872 183
RANGERS are hoping to make Australian international star Matt McKay their next signing as Ally McCoist continues to bolster the squad. The official site can reveal that the 28-year-old midfield star is firmly in McCoist's sights and a deal could be done this week.McKay is in the UK as Australia have a friendly international with Wales on Wednesday night and Rangers would love to do a deal before the Europa League play-off deadline on Thursday. The Brisbane Roar captain is at the peak of his form having become a regular in the Australian national team and named Player of the Season in the A-League by the Aussie media. He captained the Roar to their first Australian title and was inspirational in the 4-2 A League final game against Central Coast Mariners.McKay comes highly recommended by former team mate Craig Moore who, of course, spent nearly 10 years at Rangers, and Ian Ferguson who has watched McKay blossom during his time in Austrian football. He also played beside Charlie Miller who was also impressed by his ability. There are work permit issues but Rangers hope to overcome them and get McKay on board.McKay, who is left sided but can play in the centre of midfield, has 16 caps for his country.WE'LL HAVE MORE ON THIS STORY AS IT DEVELOPS

harry handsome 629
Captain of Roar good strong midfielder with a fantastic engine, aggressive and scores some good goals. One of the best players I've seen in the A league. Must be on his late 20s nowadays.

trueblue68 2,497
5ft7 and a half? surely not central midfield
harry handsome 629
He is very British in the way he plays the game, strong at the tackle and covers a lot of ground. He really did drive the Roar on last year, given that the teams he plays against aren't the best it's hard to say how good he would be for us. harry handsome 629
Could do worse than look at the boy Robbie Kruse as well, he's a pest of a player who puts defenders on the back foot. He would be a good foil for Jelavic as he has pace gets behind the defense and can score.
