They'd be mental to sell him, they'll only want to buy him back in 3 years for triple the amount.

Like I said in another thread he's rated far more than Sancho and is the same age.

Considering their wingers are both over 30 it makes no sense.

Agreed. I'd be very surprised if in a few years he's worth less than 35 million. You don't have to be THAT good to be worth that much anymore, especially if you're English.

His two assists for Morata against Nottingham Forrest were fantastic.

I know a boy who is a massive Chelsea fan, goes to youth games etc. Says they've made a total arse of the situation.

Does he not only have 18 months left on his deal though?

I think in some ways you can’t blame him for wanting out because player after player come through and get no real chances at Chelsea and they don’t seem to be doing much to change that. I don’t know much about Sarri but on one of the podcasts they were saying he’s not really a youth orientated coach either.

Yes he has 18 months left and has had a contract on the table for 6 months at Chelsea but he's not signing it currently.

He wants games and see's Sancho and how he's propelled to a young star for Dortmund and England.

You can see his point but also Chelsea's as he has only just turned 18 and at a top club where you have established top end players in that position it would take a brave manager (never mind a new one) to go with the youngster.

Maybe he will get more game time and sign the deal but if not Chelsea will sell for 30 plus million which in itself pays for their academy.

Bournemouth want 50 + million for Callum Wilson, a guy with two serious knee injuries behind him. People say it all the time but the Premier League market has gone mental.

Everyone talks about the bubble bursting, I actually think it will get worse. There's a generation of Americans that are starting to get in to 'soccer' which I'm sure can somehow be tapped in to, plus other than the savvy people getting android boxes people will continue paying well over the odds to the big companies.

I really don't see how it will or can decline.

Hope he does well against everyone but us. Hard working and direct.

Played a massive part in us winning the League that year.

All the best to him!

Shite player but did a job because he gave us a balance, width and an out ball in midfield that we lacked before he came into the side especially with us having Naismith playing from the right bit coming more central a lot.

Manchester City want to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice as a replacement for Fernandinho, according to The Sun.

Fernandinho has been at City since 2013, but the club are reportedly are looking at potential alternatives in the market with the midfielder set to turn 34 in May.

Rice would supposedly cost around £50m should City wish to prise him away from West Ham.

City love their £50m signings! Squad is littered with them! Still clever than say splurging £100-150m on one player. City do need to do some rebuilding as that squad ain't getting any younger.

Man City have a squad of 25 first team players and only 7 are over 28. One being Bravo.

The likes of Aguero, Silva and Otamendi will last for another 3 years easily. Kompany and Fernandinho the only two that will need to be replaced soon.

He is an excellent player I'm shocked spurs let him go so cheaply.
