Now being reported as a season-long loan.

Strange one eh?

He put something on Twitter or Instagram the other day saying 'dream come true #halamadrid' then he deleted it.

Must have been a fake, or Madrid have pulled out.

Seems a ridiculous transfer, but it does make sense as a loan.

Welbeck and Hernandez are presumably away and Van Persie needs a surgery.

Send RvP off for a couple months for surgery, replace him with a world class forward on loan and let them compete when he's back. That's how the premier league works. With van persie at 32 at end of season Falcao could be the permanent replacement for him eventually as well.

still think they should be throwing everything they have at Vidal though.

If United fail to make the top 4 this season they could be in serious trouble.

(tu)

They're smart enough to chat up the sponsors to forgive them one year without Champions League football, but spending £200m on new players on stupid wages, giving Rooney his new contract, and the sponsors not wanting another year without CL football; their balance sheet isn't in anywhere near as good a nick as they make out.

What are Arsenal doing during all of this?

Left the Remy one too long that when they enquired he was too far gone in talks with Chelsea they couldn’t get that one done, Falcao was really the last top striker about who could leave his club and again they are doing nothing about it.

They have needed a decent striker all summer long but as usual it’s deadline day and Wenger has not got a clue what he is going to do.

The deal includes an option for United to buy the striker for 55m euros (£43.5m) at the end of the loan spell.

A good piece of business IMO.

Reeks of another panic buy.

They didn't need another striker as that's not the problem they have.

They have more than enough in the final thrid of the park...it's the defence and midfield area that needs major investment and has been for well over a year now.

The defence is brutal but they've scored 2 goals in 4 games. They need someone up there to bang them in.
