mrwin 393
It's a case of saving the best till last at Salisbury this evening because the most interesting race for me is the 1m6f handicap in which ASTRA HALL (7.40) is fancied to atone for her unlucky defeat at Ffos Las a couple of weeks ago.Ralph Beckett, who did us a favour with Silver Ridge on Tuesday, must have watched in disbelief as the normally reliable David Probert (seen to good effect again on Highland Knight in Germany yesterday) got himself stuck in a pocket in a race that was clearly Astra Hall's for the taking. When the increasingly frustrated jockey did try and go for a highly dubious gap, he found the door firmly closed on him thereby ending any lingering hopes favourite backers might have had that the filly might get him (and them) out of trouble. On the plus side, a 3lb weights rise almost certainly underestimates the ease with which she would have scored with anything like a clear passage and, with Beckett's first-choice jockey Jim Crowley taking over, she looks a good bet to maintain the progression she had shown in winning her previous two starts in handicap company.Jockey now riding this
Jonok 1,245
I watched the re-run of this race and he was definitely obstructed, looks a good call.
TheLawMan 6,240
Tillietudlem has only won 1 race in 2 years and in its 3 races since she bought it its been beaten by a total of 257 lengths. Unless its a class 5 or 6 race, cant see it reversing that.I know the previous owner very well.
