BlueSuedeSambas 53,548
What happened to him? I was at a party last night and a mate had a Stone Sour album on when I was told that he was also the singer in Slipknot I was expecting a racket. However I was quite suprised as he actually has a decent voice when he stops all that rasping and shouting.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZX6j8xdbLiwStone Sourhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnxnFdgQj9ASlipknotcomplete opposies IMO! allyharp 2
just proves his range, sign of a great vocalist. I agree totally.Something I love is ability to sing (or scream) to suit different styles.Mike Patton is a guy who can do a fair whack of different vocal styles.Another one is this guy here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQo9OtVX4cQCompare the vocals at about 2:20 to the ones at 5:00 :o
Guest TheQueensXI
i really cannot see any musical talent in slipknot. a boy band who shout and make a lot of incomprehensible noise with masks as their gimmick. forgive me for not seeing any attraction in them. allyharp 2
I've seen Slipknot 3 times and I'm not even a fan Well, to be honest some of their stuff is alright in small doses. I hate the mask gimmick though. And the fact that there's so many of them!

stevenbrodie 0
I think Mushroomhead just started that claim to get some publicity......but then folk realised they were shit. As for slipknot, theyre no a band I have on my top bands list, but they do have a fair amount of songs I really like.
J_RFC87 752
Mushroomhead did come out before Slipknot, and both sets of fans hate each other. Slipknot didnt rip of the idea as they had never heard of MRH before they became famous.Anyway it doesnt matter, loads of bands have used masks. KISS covered their face with make up, whos to say Mushroomhead never copied them?
Del Juve 1
Not really bothered if either ripped off the other just remember hearing that years ago when i was right into that kinda music
allyharp 2
The masks just bring Slipknot into line with popstars like Girls Aloud etc - it's all about the image.
