trublusince1982 768
It's a registration embargo, so I reckon next summer we could buy players (paying transfer fees) and their clubs release them from their contracts. They therefore are not registered to any clubs at 31 August, although they have employment contracts with us. As they were free from any football registration when the window closed, we can register them with the SFA on 1 September. That might work.only with players who are poor enough to agree to sit about till we can register them
trublusince1982 768
This time next year the embargo will be lifted, so i think you'll find we cannot unless you know something i dont ,thought it was for 18 months
hesaidnototheprovos 75
It could be argues our first 11 is as strong as it was last yearAluko replaced with TempletonNaismith replaced with ShielsLafferty replaced with SandazaEdu replaced with BlackId say your not far off...Aluko = TempletonNaismith better than shielsLafferty = SandazaBlack better than EduAll in all, I think our team is more than capable of competing for silverware on all 4 fronts
trublusince1982 768
The sfa said the transfer market will shut on the 31st because you can register players on a Saturday, we will see if that happens. Normally it closes on the Monday if the 31st falls on a Saturday or Sunday. If we are in division 2 we can can sign free agents after the 31st anyway, so it's not a big deal. Not sure what the rules would be in the SPL 2.it doesnt matter when the window closes our suspension starts on the first which is today so no players for 18 months unless they signed yesterday and we just didnt bother to tell the fans. trialists is a possibility but think they can only play for 3 games as a trialist
boss 1,941
only with players who are poor enough to agree to sit about till we can register themWhy? It would be like buying Templeton yesterday, Hearts cancelling his registration with them, and us registering him today.
novosleftboot 6,285
no we cant register themHow not? After the embargo ends we can register anybody. As the transfer window will have closed, it will be free agents only though.
MosesMcNeil 1,664
No we can't, transfer embargo covers free agents tooIt wont cover free agents after the embargo ends In effect, the embargo only fully covers the January window.

WWTC 2,247
Let's drop Lewis MacLeod, one of our best players so far this season, and get over-run in midfield. Thats a great idea. We should keep templeton, one of the few players we have that can hit the bye line, infield aswell.
