Arsene Wenger was a centre half but his methods as a manager has always been about playing expansive, attacking football.

McCoist was an attacking player, but as a coach he has been heavily influenced by Smith who was always fairly defensively minded.

I understand, but you would think he would not just try to go and almost copy, or reproduce a Smith team. As a forward, I just thought he would be much more direct and take more risks than Smith would.
