UPDATE: I received the Paperwork from Rangers today, and there's a couple of interesting points in the list of benefits:

Being a kit sponsor, you will benefit from:

  • A signed and framed home shirt, worn by your player during the season
  • A signed away shirt
  • Personalised letter from your player thanking you for his sponsorship
  • Commemorative photograph taken when your player presents you with the framed shirt
  • Your company logo and/or personalised message displayed in every match programme
  • Your company name displayed in the Dressing Room (Auchenhowie Training Park)
  • Your company name and/or personalised message on the LED board (when player is announced onto pitch)

So there you go - that's what you got for your money

Personally I think govanblue should be one of the two who meet the sponsored player.

Aw shucks! But to be honest, I think there are plenty others who would get more out of it. It would be nice if it could be a couple of young aspiring players who went.

I could maybe go along to get some pics for the forum though :D

I'm 26 and still an aspiring player. There will be a time when someone gets injured and they pluck his replacement from the crowd. When that time comes I WILL be ready. :D

Re who should meet player - I go along with the govanblue and staff-writer suggestion

Re the shirt - I go for randomly picked contibutor...but i think we should leave it entirely to the winner as to what happens to the shirt rather than pressure them for auction / sale etc.

Best idea on RM for a while...well done gb

My two bob's worth on this;

I dont think we should have reference to the Bears Den in the advert - its irrelevant and could be confusing to those who dont know anything about RM (shame on them!)

Perhaps a tag line like "The Best Rangers Fans' Forum" or something similar. I'm sure others can come up with something snappy.

I would also suggest that for their contribution, all those who have stumped up the tenner get entered into a draw with the first prize being the signed shirt itself, and the second prize being our rep at the presentation. This gives 3 out of the 60 or so a reward of sorts for their contribution. If that person chooses to donate the shirt to the site to raise money for charity that is up to them, but for many of the contributors I am sure a signed players shirt would be a fantastic addition to their Rangers collection. For those donating from overseas it is obviously harder for them to attend, so they can proxy this to a friend or let the site pick another name out of the list.
