I recorded the at the races preview and none of the panel tipped it and it was more or less the same on the morning line aswell

No one is tipping MTOY because it is so short but it is almost definitely the best horse in the race and has at least an 75% chance of winning IMO.

I've only herd one guy say he would back it at a bigger price and it was the Irish guy on atr. The Liverpudlian guy said he will be laying it and doesn't expect it to stay up the hill. It's never ran at a course like Cheltenham before so it will be an interesting race IMO. He also said even if its leading jumping the last he will still be laying it :lol:

2013 Supreme Novices' Hurdle Trends

Tuesday 12th March - 13:30 - Supreme Novices' Hurdle - Grade 1 - 2m

  • Irish trained horses have a great record in the race in recent years, having won eight of the last fourteen runnings.
  • Fourteen of the last sixteen winners won on their last appearance before the Cheltenham Festival.
  • Eight of the last 21 runners ran no more than twice over hurdles before the Supreme.
  • Eleven out of the last 13 winners had raced at least once in the previous forty-five days before the Cheltenham Festival.
  • The Royal Bond and Deloitte Hurdle have been excellent trials in recent years.
  • Only three of the last sixteen horses to start at odds of 3/1 or shorter have won.

Tuesday 12th March - 14:05 - Arkle Trophy Challenge Chase - Grade 1 - 2m

  • Twelve out of the last thirteen winners had a rating of 142 and over and five of these were the highest rated hurdler in the race.
  • French bred horses have won eight of the last nineteen runnings.
  • 24 of the last 26 winners finished either first or second in the last race before the festival.
  • Only two winners since 1976 did not have a prep run in the eight weeks leading up to the race.
  • Only three favourites in the last 21 runnings of the Arkle have won the race.
  • Key trials include the Henry VIII at Sandown and the Racing Post Novice Chase at Leopardstown, whilst the winner of the Scilly Isles Chase has a poor record.
  • Ten of the last thirteen winners had won a novice chase by the first week in December, although Sprinter Sacre won on the 9th Dec 2011.
  • Five year olds have a poor record in the race since the scrapping of their weight allowance.

Tuesday 12th March - 14:40 - JLT Speciality Handicap Chase - Grade 3 - 3m110y

  • The last twelve out of thirteen winners carried less than eleven stone to victory.
  • There has not been a winner rated higher than 150 for thirty years.
  • Nine of the last twelve winners were amongst the top four in the betting.
  • Novices have won three of the last nine runnings.
  • Horses aged eleven or over have failed to place in the last fourteen runnings.
  • Seven of the last 15 winners have been placed at the festival before.
  • Six of the last ten winners won on their previous outing to the festival.
  • Paul Nicholls has never won this race.

Tuesday 12th March - 15:20 - Stan James Champion Hurdle - Grade 1 - 2m

  • Katchit was the only five-year-old to win in twenty-six years.
  • Seventeen of the last eighteen winners all ran in the same calendar year (Rock On Ruby's last run was Boxing Day).
  • Twenty-four of the last twenty-eight winners were winners of their last prep run.
  • There have only been three winners over the age of eight since 1951.
  • Seventeen of the last 23 winners had won a race at Cheltenham before.
  • Irish trained horses have won this race on eight of the last fourteen runnings.
  • Check the form of the Stan James International Hurdle at Cheltenham, Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle and the Istabraq Festival Hurdle at Leopardstown.
  • Nineteen of the last 22 winners started in the top six of the betting, prior to the race.
