Can anyone remember why Parma away was on at lunchtime many years ago?

I got off school, said I had something to do with Dad, it was true but wasn't totally honest!

It was a UEFA cup game, back then they could be played the same day as CL games, so for TV the CL game got the prime time slot.

second leg albertz gave us the lead, in control then porrini got the red mist, down to 10men then big amo decides to play handball and give them the penalty for them to get the lead

if we had beaten parma that year i think we'd have won the fucking thing,

Vowed never to go to a game in Italy again after that one... After arriving at Milan airport the polis kept all the supporters shuttle buses waiting for a couple of hours before leading us in a convoy into Milan centre. Couldn't find a decent pub that night(Milan`s shite for drinking places)..Headed to the game in Parma early next day in the expectation of drink near the stadium.. Polis once again there to fuck us up, stopped all the buses outside the town till about an hour before kick off. After the match convoy once again straight to the airport... ooh and we got beat also. One good thing was the Parma supporters clapped us out the stadium, obviously impressed with our singing and bouncy stamina.
