Her Majesty's portrait in the Rangers dressing room

Don't know if anyone else can confirm this. I read, or was told, that it was Bobby Shearer who brought that portrait into the Rangers home dressing room in the 1960's? And that every Rangers captain of the day would take it down when we played ra Sellick at the Big Jock Knew Camp and hang it on the dressing room there. I don't think it happens anymore mind you.

Is any if this correct?

My Gran used to have this painting of her Majesty pride of place above the fire place in her house, when she passed away unfortunately it got lost among other things.

My faither had this portrait alongside Burns in his apron on his fireplace wall. Local plod in Partick would make excuses to come up and see them along with the identical clock that Ajax have

Believe it or not but they used to play the national anthem in the Fir Park Club next to Motherwell's stadium at quarter to three before every home game.

Motherwell and hearts are represented by flute bands as well.

Both clubs were mainly Protestant supports, not sure about now though
