EatDolphins 5,355
He should have been binned when we lost the Ramsdens to Raith that was the final straw for me, I was optimistic coming into this new season but I now have no idea why, we are king nowhere under him and anyone who still backs him must be off their head.Same. A draw and a be hair win against Albion was it for me then Raith compounded it.

bawsburst 1,381
Rangers boss Ally McCoist points the finger at Charles Green 'sideshow' in the wake of opening day defeat to Hearts Aug 10, 2014 17:40By <No links to this website>0 Comments THE Rangers boss questioned the timing of the former chief executive's re-emergence at Ibrox in the wake of the Ibrox side's 2-1 defeat. Defejcted Rangers manager Ally McCoist walks off after the final whistle ALLY McCOIST claims the "sideshow" at Rangers is beginning to affect some players as he took aim at former chief executive Charles Green in the wake of the Ibrox side's 2-1 opening day defeat to Championship rivals Hearts.Rangers lost 2-1 to a Hearts side who are widely viewed as their main challengers for the Championship title this season and automatic promotion to the top flight. However the manager took aim at Green in the wake of the defeat, which follows a week where the former chief executive re-emerged to claim he has investors ready to stabilise the club financially.Gers fans subsequently threatened a formal boycott if Green was to return but there were over 43,683 at Ibrox as skipper Lee McCulloch unfurled the First Division title flag before the Govan Stand was officially renamed the Sandy Jardine Stand in memory of the Rangers and Hearts legend, who passed away in April after a long battle with cancer. After a good start and several chances to open the scoring it soon all went wrong for Rangers with former defender Danny Wilson opened the scoring in the 52nd minute with a header from a Billy King corner and although Gers midfielder Nicky Law levelled as the game edged into six added minutes, Swedish striker Osman Sow grabbed a dramatic winner for the Jambos seconds later.Afterwards Rangers boss McCoist was asked about the prospect of Green returning to the club in any sort of capacity."Whether he comes back or not remains to be seen," he said."I thought the timing of it again... it is a big day for the players, a big day for the supporters and even bigger day for Sandy Jardine's family."I just didn't think the timing of it was great."For the first time, one or two of the players actually said to me about the timing of all that kind of stuff."Everybody does their level best to keep players sheltered and away from it and we will continue to do that because they have to concentrate on results on the park."Sometimes it is a little bit of a sideshow we can do without." bawsburst 1,381
Not really wanting to get into the green debate mate but for Ally to come out today and say that is just inexcusable. We have a man in place who refuses to accept he is the reason we play so poorly but rather tells himself and worst of all the media it's the media stuff that's to blame.Shameful from him, totally shameful.I think it has gone beyond debate, since Alistair brought it up I would rather have Charlie in place than Alistair, Alistair and his entourage are a luxury we cannot afford to allow to keep continually giving so little and taking so much .......if anything at all. bigbluesea

the drummer 414
we will just have to accept that we are at a level of our own making and its going to be hard to raise performances with the present coaches and players none of them are up to the job of being a rangers player. sandyinroyalblue 16,478
Won't be back till the manager is shown the door.Folk will call it weak, not the rangers way ect ect but they can shove it up their arse.We have a man using Charles Green...(a man who isn't even at the fucking club) as a reason we were so poor and lost today...Afterwards Rangers boss McCoist was asked about the prospect of Green returning to the club in any sort of capacity."Whether he comes back or not remains to be seen," he said."I thought the timing of it again... it is a big day for the players, a big day for the supporters and even bigger day for Sandy Jardine's family."I just didn't think the timing of it was great."For the first time, one or two of the players actually said to me about the timing of all that kind of stuff."How much longer can we accept this utter cringe form him?deflection of the highest quality from McCoist
JamieD 18,881
I see he's now blaming green again saying some of the players are affected by it! He is a fucking joke and he needs to be chased out before he destroys his legendary player status! You need to distinguish between what a journalist writes and what the person they are writing about actually says.He said the Green stuff was distracting attention away from the tribute to Sandy. Not to blame for losing the match. There is not one word in anything he said that places the blame on Charles Green for today. He blamed our defending for that. The eagerness with which some Rangers fans leap at any opportunity to attack our manager is bizarre. Is he good enough? No. Is that reason to take the fucking Daily Record at their word? Jesus fucking Christ no.
jamess 3,407
I think if somebody organised a 'Get Ally Out' fund, to give to the board, it would be inundated with cash.
WilliamFyfe 1,438
Fans need to start showing at games they want him out. Hibs and Hearts this week massive games and for me he failed both.
smartypants 4,427
Just getting home to this, can't believe Ally is trotting out his teams toothless display as a result of Greens re-emergance.
The Godfather 71,713
Why can't he just admit he got it wrong and we were poor?Honestly why does he continually lie? It's about to get ugly at Ibrox and it's his own damn fault
jamess 3,407
The Rangers fighting fund should be remaned the 'Save Rangers Fund/Ally out' - we could raise a fortune to give to the board to buy him out. I can't think of a more worthy cause to put my cash right now.
