He blames matters off the pitch for poor performances when it's his job to keep the players focused. How many times have you heard a player say 'there's nothing we can really do about that so we just concentrate on the footballing side of things'? At Rangers off the field shit is used as an excuse for dross on the park. It's hard to motivate the players against part-timers but they don't look any better against teams like Dundee United, Hibs, Hearts, ICT, etc. He even tried to say the gap between these amateur teams and top-flight pro sides is so small it's almost non-existant. So on one hand he's saying the quality of the opposition is high which makes it difficult to perform but on the other hand they're shit and it's difficult to stay motivated.

Ally's the manager. It's his job to get the team out there winning things and entertaining the fans. He's been given enough time, money, and support to do that. He can't fucking do it so let's get rid of him and find someone who can do it.

You are absolutely correct to say it is sad to see Rangers fans abuse one of our greatest ever players but if he continues to take a huge salary while destroying our team I cannot see it getting any better.

I would love nothing more for it too work for Ally at Rangers, I'm sure all of us would but it's just not working. He's not a Manager and he's certainly not a Rangers Manager. Top to bottom clean out is needed, management and coaching staff.

But he starting with Ally he needs to stand down and he'd earn so much respect from the support if he did. He's not stupid, just do the right thing Ally.

Dear Ally

First of all I would like, on my behalf and I'm sure 99% of Rangers fans, to thank you for your unstinting leadership during and following our admin crisis.

You have been the rock around which the fans have rallied to ensure survival of the club.

The happy ending to this great adventure would have seen you manage the team successfully back into the SPFL and the Champions League and eventually back to our rightful position.

However, this isn't Hollywood and we don't always get the happy ending we so desperately want.

God knows you had huge problems on and off the field, and nobody doubts your commitment or effort, but over the course of your tenure, your managerial credibility haslost more support with every match.

It has become clear that management is not for you and you should pursue other career opportunities. We know you aren't a quitter and it will hurt to accept this, but it is time to step aside for the good of the club.

Your first instinct will be to keep going, but for the sake of the team and the fantastic esteem you are held in by fans, you must do the right thing.

In continuing you are only tarnishing the great legacy left by your playing career.

As a player and manager you must have seen the heartbreak when a young player is told he isn't good enough to make it, however hard he tries. You are now in a similar position.

I'm well aware you will probably never read this, but I'm pretty sure it now reflects the thoughts of almost every fan.
