llgersll 6
A new Rangers pub has opened in Blackpool. Anybody going to Blackpool and looking for somewhere to watch Rangers games or any big matches try THE GALLANT PIONEER, it is situated opposite the south pier on Station Rd, 60 yards down street on the right. I was in Blackpool 2 weeks ago and tried the pub, well decorated, big screens, plays all the tunes, good beer and reasonable prices and I met a few fellow bears and enjoyed being in the company of like minded people. ps pub is upstairs so may not suit some people but for most a good experience. WATP.

Dosent look anything special from outside but done up really well inside.I think it looks great from the outside with the flags etc!I went in last year for a pint(ended up having 3 and a agitated call from the missus)Was telling my boy about it when i went back to the missus and wains so the next night he insisted i took him in to see it.Tunes were great and bar staff were top class,i was sitting next to a bloke who was Walter Smiths double so i told the wee man it was the great man himself so he was in awe, would recommend it to any bear visiting Blackpool. harlands plater 16,933
If I remember correctly Blackpool was really depending on getting that "super casino" licence ( the one Murray was trying to get for us) a few years ago to kickstart the local economy, and it ended up going to Manchester instead. I haven't been in Blackpool for twenty years, other than flying from the wee Toytown airport, and I doubt I will ever be there again. I have been there in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s and there was a noticeable decline each time from each previous visit.Shame, but Blackpool probably suffered more from the cheap foreign package holiday boom than any other place in Britain.
