Perfect job for Warburton, biggest club in Scotland, one of the biggest in Britain, 1 year to find his feet without too much pressure. Outstanding training facilities, able to start from scratch with team and scouting network. Rangers born and bred assistant. Popular appointment as the last few managers have all been cut from the same cloth.

I seriously doubt he's coming in without any pressure on him. He needs to put a team together and win promotion this season. Absolutely nothing less than that. It's bad enough we have to spend another season down here. It can NOT turn into 3 seasons.

In his two years as a coach at Brentford, Warburton oversaw the opening of their new academy and was the co-founder of the NextGen series, a European club competition for under-19s that ran for two seasons between 2011 and 2013.

This is exactly the type of Manager we need, and the type King said he was looking for.

Great that it's Davie Weir with him as well, managing one of the Old Firm is like nothing a Manager would have ever experienced before.

Happy with this, obviously a decent budget have been agreed as well, or I doubt he would've came to the Scottish Championship.

Welcome to the World's most successful Team Mark, welcome back Davie, and well done to the Board

Can see Lewis MacLeod coming back to maybe Danny Wilson because of the weir affect and Scott Allan no bad for starters

Danny Wilson gets beat by anyone with pace, He would probably want daft money as well.

Cathro isn't coming here to be a first team coach. That's some fantasy scenario posted by one person that everybody has jumped on and now think it could happen when it won't.

That's like the cunt that kept calling for McInnes as manager was just fucking daft was never gonna happen..

Wouldn't see me posting shit like that tbf?

Great news about Warburton and Weir. Hopefully we can now look forward to exciting times on the park, and hopefully off it too.

On face value Cathro would seem unlikely. However, I think we've all learned by now that anything is possible with us. Also, by all accounts Cathro had planned in advanced to leave and return home for family reasons. If he's already in Scotland he may be happy to take up some sort of role just to keep his fingers in it and continue his profile to grow. It could possibly suit all parties, certainly in the short term.

Really looking forward to the next few weeks to see who we bring in and how the squad is going to shape up.
