tannerall 25,935
Songs for the "Ibrox Juke Box" to be played and sung before games. Suggest your own choice.I'll start with the obligatory "Simply The Best" and "Penny Arcade"I like this one too, as it's a great tune and the lyrics are quite positive. "Song Sung Blue"Song sung blue, everybody knows oneSong sung blue, every garden grows oneMe and you are subject toThe blues now and thenBut when you take the bluesAnd make a songYou sing 'em out againYou sing 'em out againSong sung blue, weeping like a willowSong sung blue, sleeping on my pillowFunny thing,But you can sing it with a cry in your voiceAnd before you know it get to feeling goodYou simply got no choiceMe and you are subject toThe blues now and thenBut when you take the bluesAnd make a songYou sing 'em out againSong sung blue, weeping like a willowSong sung blue, sleeping on my pillowFunny thing,But you can sing it with a cry in your voiceAnd before you know it start to feeling goodYou simply got no choiceSong sung blueSong sung blueFunny thing,But you can sing it with a cry in your voice........ (then straight in to "And The Cry Was No Surrender.......?) And of course the selection on the PA could be hosted before the game by Gordon "Jukebox" Durie. BridgeIsBlue 66,498
A few year ago the sheep had the players come out the tunnel to the Imperial March from Star Wars.So the next time the tims come to Ibrox this should get blasted when they come out at half time. Bahrain Bear 52
It's been suggested on an earlier post, but ELO's Mr Blue Sky would be a good shout, but maybe just for first game back in Premier League and first game against them. Don't want it going the same way as Penny Arcade.Sun is shinin' in the skyThere ain't a cloud in sightIt's stopped rainin' everybody's in a playAnd don't you knowIt's a beautiful new day hey, heyRunnin' down the avenueSee how the sun shines brightly in the cityOn the streets where once was pityMister blue sky is living here today hey, heyMister blue sky please tell us whyYou had to hide away for so long Where did we go wrong? sonofbear 398
Neil Youngs - Rockin In The Free World has some lyrics that could be adapted into a song for us There's colors on the street Red, white and blue People shufflin' their feet People sleepin' in their shoes But there's a warnin' sign On the road ahead There's a lot of people sayin' We'd be better off dead Don't feel like Satan, But I am to them So I try to forget it, Any way I can. Keep on rockin' in the free world, Keep on rockin' in the free world Keep on rockin' in the free world, Keep on rockin' in the free world.
