Heshootshescores 1,904
Update:That's me just had a call from the SS Sir Walter Scott Ticket Office. I've paid £88 over the phone for the tickets, and the 11 (not 12) Residents and Staff will now be making their way aboard.I've asked them to text me the amount of the drinks bill later on, then we'll send them a cheque to reimburse the Carer who's buying the drinks, and then I can update the accounts thread. It's a lovely day at Loch Katrine btw. Photos to follow in a few days.Looks great GB! ... Money well spent mate.

Perhaps folks are waiting to see if the budget today will affect their ability to pay? Once that's over money will flood in! Perhaps I need to stump up my cash and show an example ! Bluepeter9 5,167
BP9. Was that an early morning bump or an early morning bang?A good bump in the morning is about as good as it gets - good bangs are getting fewer and fewer after 29 years of bing married! Popular Post govanblue 16,847
I was chatting to RDF earlier and they told me about someone they had heard about - An Old Soldier (35 Years Service, 20 Years Rangers Season Ticket Holder) who is having some serious health problems. (Cancer )Due to not being able to work, and having to spend all his money on travelling between Hospitals in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Falkirk on a continual basis, he was unable to renew his season ticket last year or this year. Since we have got money specifically set aside for tickets for Veterans, and since we also get a lot of free s/t seats donated from our Members when they can't get to a match, it seemed to me that we were in the perfect position to help this Old Soldier out. So I got in touch with him. He was delighted to hear from us, but sadly he doesn't think he'll be fit enough to get to a game until at least mid-August, depending on how the current treatments go. So I've told him to just get in touch with us as soon as he feels up to it, and we will provide him with tickets (for him and a companion) for as many games as he can manage. Hope that's all right with you lot? Corky True Legend, Bears r us, gmcf and 2 others

govanblue 16,847
The Loch Katrine photos have arrived. It'll take me a while to photoshop them all, so until then, here's the first one. This is Dougie and the other Veterans arriving at Trossachs Pier for the Boat Trip.Dougie is the guy nearest us, and that's his wife pushing his wheelchair (Erskine try to involve the Veteran's Relatives whenever they can, and our "Wish-Trips" are perfect opportunities for this) Bears r us
