*** The Official Hibs V Rangers Match Thread ***

Defence not good enough. Wilson is poor, and we tend to be vulnerable to the long ball. Also get exposed from midfield too often and we really don't take enough chances. A draw would probably have been the fair result, but we lost and we've nobody to blame but ourselves for that.

Still 5 points ahead, though. Hibs at Ibrox next time. Still have complete confidence in finishing on top. Beefing up the striking options and sorting out our backline's going to take a bit of thought for next season, though. Although we're a good outfit, we're clearly nowhere near as good as we thought a while back but we need to remember how far we've come since last season. Things are still looking up despite today.

Been coming for weeks.no matter how much emphasis you place on attacking you must be able to and this team basicly can't defend.we got what we deserved today and we need to bring in a proper centre half and striker in Jan.as for Oduwa and Zelalem id send them back to their clubs.they are no better than the likes of Walsh and Aird.

Disappointing result, thought for sure we'd get a second and go on to win it when we were all over them. Thought we made the subs too early as we were enjoying our best spell of the match at that time but that isn't to be blamed for Foderingham and Ball getting in each other's way at a corner.

Defensively we're still very shaky and we need to get that sorted sooner rather than later.

We're losing too many balls in midfield as well. Thought McGinn was the best player on the pitch and he's the type of player we need.

Some of you are either so fucking precious, tims and/or both. Fucks sake. We hit the woodwork twice after equalising, Waghorn could maybe have done better, but he had to hit it first time on his right. Everything was against us today hoping for a hibs win. The glee in Walker's voice and the presenter, fucking cunts.

Did he tactically enlarge the bar and the crossbar, and tactically ensure Oxley saved them on at least 2 occasions?

Did he slip the ref a bundle to deny a first minute penalty?

We should have won that.

Absolutely. Nothing to do with tactics, everything to do with poor marking by our defence and terrible finishing. Should have won this, and have no one to blame but ourselves.

Sore one to only be 5 points ahead, after only dropping 3.

But maybe that will make our players take it up a notch. We've got the players and Management to win the League, we just need improve on certain parts of our game.

January will be crucial also, a goal scorer is badly needed. Along with a CDM.

Tactically outdone by Stubbs. Does it get any worse?

Did you watch the game? If you did you know fuck all about football. Their tactics were to lump it to Cummings all day which we snuffed out every time bar once when Wes had to make the save. Other than that their tactics were shite and we didn't get what we deserved. I do agree however that we need to be better in terms of our positivity when we are chasing the game. Full back giving the ball to the centre half with 30 seconds to go for example will not get us the goal we needed.

I'll be worried if we lose our next home game against them.

We were up against decent opposition for the first time since St Johnstone and we have been found out again, fancy football is good to watch but with no end product it won't win prizes, the boss has some thinking to do.

I cannot accept deat at the hands of these rhabid bastards. However, on the day they were the better team.

We are well aware of our defensive frailties, but we insist on playing Wilson. Just suicide. He is now worse than a man down. His attitude was also shite today, so do not play him again, as he is out biggest weakness and just not good enough for a jersey.

Tav again not at the races today. He looked fucked trying to get back.

Midfield non existent in the first half.

A decent start to the second half and we should have buried two.

Still overplaying the ball and too many square passes.

Team just not ticking for now. Still say we need a skilled enforcer in midfield. MW has his work cut out. We will still do it, but I'm thinking next season and we will need a major improvement in personnel. We are too nice.

People need to calm down. It's happened now move on. We're too good overall. if someone said 5 points clear by November I would've grabbed it. WATP!

No.

People have been seeing a deterioration in general play ing efficiency for weeks, masked by tight wins.

We need to be careful that we don't loss momentum and get more focus and drive back or this could turn out to be a disappointing season. Remember the lead McCoist surrendered?

DK not stuimping up for better players in January because MW says all his players are premiership class should worry a few.

We need fresh impetus and focus, Not just ineffective possession football.

By the sounds of some we are in a crisis.

18 games. 16 wins. 2 losses. Scored 54. Conceded 13. 5 points clear at the top of the league.

There are obviously areas of concern, but we are nowhere near as woeful as some profess on this thread.

Yeah. To an extent we've made a rod for our own backs by being so good early on. The standards we use to judge ourselves have taken a sudden and huge jump.

Realistically, things are stilling going along really well.

Take the likes of Tav. People are saying he was terrible but I don't think he was as bad as made out today, just not nearly as good as he has been.

We knew it wud happen as difficult to go the full season winning every game.

Shows defence needs some work and agree we need to take chances we can't walk It in to goal.

We will still win the league as this will only make us stronger and what we need sorted for next season.
