*** The Official Rangers V Cowdenbeath Match Thread ***

Recommended Posts

Any reason why the team hasn't been announced yet? Normally an hour to kick off.

There was a mix up as the referee slept in this afternoon and Cowdenbeath team coach got stuck in traffic on the M74. so Cowdenbeath asked us to postpone the game until tomorrow @ 1pm live on Sky Sports 1

Miller has mind games with Cowdenbeath manager before match as reported by the sun

"Hibs boss Alan Stubbs spent weeks in the build-up to his sides festive showdown with Rangers trying to wind up dugout rival Mark Warburton.

He didnt land a blow.

Kenny Miller has just taken out Cowdenbeath manager Colin Nish with one punch.

Though we have to say, it was a bit of a low blow.

(And a tad sexist).

The Rangers striker and Nish were back at their old school Musselburgh Grammar for a walk down memory lane ahead of their Scottish Cup fourth round clash.

And as they reminisced about the good ol days for Sky Sports, Miller couldnt resist a cheeky dig at his former striking partner.

Pointing at Nish, Miller said: We played together in the same school team for a few years until someone tried to come and take our places - a girl called Laura Walker.

She tried to come and take our place - and he got dropped!

Nish now needed something really big to come back with.

But all he could mumble was, I was the youngest one so I got dropped.

With the war of words won, Miller clearly decided it was best to be magnanimous in victory, adding: We actually had a not bad partnership to be fair and scored a lot of goals between us.

How gracious."

Near enough same team as last few games, get a good lead at half time then make changes giving Forrester Hardie and Thompson some game time

I think Hardie and Thompson are in Valencia.

Its a great chance firstly to get some warm weather but to get some good training on some good surfaces.

Weve got to challenge our younger players, and a big part of the club going forward will be us offering a challenge to the younger players the likes of Ryan Hardie, Jordan Thompson etc. they must have a quality challenge to prepare them for the first team.
