The cow is tweeting that she has her sunday column back in the herald

No doubt what her first column will be about, rabid tarrier cow

How many times is the herald going to shoot itself in the foot? in terms of objective journalism she should be a pariah to the mainstream press.

So what does getting sacked from your job these days mean anyway.

These journos can put on a new twist or face whatever they want to talk about and it's very little to do with 'reporting'.

Another word they seem to have reinvented the meaning of.

She wasn't sacked nor is she a reporter. She's an columnist who is a freelancer whom the Sunday Herald stopped using until it all settled down. Iirc her whole thing is social media based and is nothing  more than an opinion piece. Which makes it more likely she'll fuck up again shortly and they'll have to stop using her. Again.

That's all true enough, although reporting is taking a more fantasy look and feel about it these days.

Just think of how BBC Ireland report on hivs as against virtually no reporting of Rangers. They're so sure that hivs are so good, that they say it out loud regulary, even though they're sitting second and 8pts behind?!?!?!

With this decision to reinstate her and with 'The National' as a sister paper. They are obviously pandering to their target audience, I will not be touching that rag ever again and wish it a fast and painful extinction.

Isn't that what anyone would do? I might not agree with what she says but if it's what their audience wants why wouldn't they give them it?

Exactly, but now there is now pretence of impartiality from that group of papers.

I've never seen any paper truly claim to be impartial. They all have an editorial bias. Whether it's politics, its stance on immigration or sport they all lean one way or another. The only outlet which has a need to be impartial (yet fails) is BBC Scotland.

There is no impartiality in journalism. People always come at a subject form different directions, give weight to different evidence, have different theories etc. All of this is seen in journalism.

For example, a Septic fan might disagree that Rangers are the most successful club in Scotland because Septic have one the European Cup. They're simply giving more weight to that one trophy than they give to an entire history of success because they're biased.

But there's a difference between that and being an outright bigot. The Herald is not impartial. That is a given. However, by employing the services of this bigoted hag, they are setting out their stall as a bigoted publication. They have gone beyond impartiality which, while it may be inaccurate, can still be honest and have a degree of integrity. They have now put themselves forward as a platform for hatred and a pedlar of lies.

And if you ask a Celtic fan they'd level the same at other papers. It's all about the perspective of the person viewing it. Daily Ranger/Daily Rhebel.
