Ally included in celebrations?

He should have had us where MW has us 4 years ago, no matter the division. Free flowing football from fit young footballers - not guys like Ian Black and Kevin Kyle trying to catch loose balls.

You are correct about the Premiership though, was it a 15 point lead he lost with a team full of experienced and international players?

9 if you take away the games in hand they had. And it's not as though there was anything going on behind the scenes around that time that could have affected the players. Definitely not.

A foreign coach throws away a 9 point lead against them and he would be hounded out the door , what makes it acceptable for ally to get away with it

Sorry, but in your defence of McFailure you're now clutching at straws and making yourself look ridiculous. Stop digging.

Did he really celebrate a Ramsden's second place, or was he trying to lift the troops? I suggest you read about the managerial methods of Brian Clough etc before you start boxing anyone's methods into some sort of convention. Just as well Don Revie was never Rangers manager; giving players massages win, lose, or draw.

Sorry mate, had to make the dinner there!!

I was hoping anyone reading that knew I was being facetious regarding the Ramsdens.  I'd hope that it wasn't a celebration.  Regardless of what it was and whether Revie liked massaging players or not, it was wrong.

Might give the books a shout for the holidays though!

And I also think Templeton went down the pecking order because the social media pics came from his missus.  Imo,obv.

Loyalty? I know we're big on demanding it from players and staff but reluctant to repay the favour but sometimes it can be a big things

Understanding of the various off field goings on at the time? Ever been in a situation where your employer is on the brink of admin? I have. It's fucking horrible. Not knowing if I'll get paid, have a job soon, etc. The last thing on my mind was performing at the best of my capabilities.

Loyalty can only get you so far , if yer shite at something yer shite at something

if your best pal was your gaffer but you were hopeless at your job , would you expect him to keep you on?

Whether it was wrong or not, he was obviously not celebrating, and some have suggested it was his way of not caring whether we lost or not. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and suggest that he was concerned about players, especially the younger members of the squad, who may have needed a lift.

And sometimes giving a manager time to work through early problems can have some real benefits.

Well, if it was that easy. Players come in all forms of character and it takes an excellent manager to distinguish one from the other. If Ally had a karaoke after a cup final defeat he must have had some reason, and it might have been a good reason at that. For me it indicates the low morale that must have been around at that time.

McCoist should have won the Championship when we were in the Premiership?

He put us back four years but we're going into the Premiership a year later than we should have and will be looking to challenge for the title immediately.

No way did you not understand that point, stop being facetious you.

Yes and sometimes players need to know when they have let the club down

Unfortunately Ally's abilities as a manager went backwards as opposed to forwards.

He was in effect the Benjamin Button of management

"We had runs on sand dunes until we threw up. I learned a lot from that, never treat a player that way." - Mark Warburton

I don't even know what point you're arguing / defending.

Under the dud our players looked unfit and often there was no difference between us and part timers.

Sand dunes or not, MW has got a fit squad, the dud didn't. Current squad talk about loving their training. Last year's squad seemed to have a permanent jolly.

For all you appear to try to defend him, please don't try to compare his and the duds training and fitness ethos and suggest AMs is favourable or acceptable.

We get it , you love Ally.

Give everyone a single credible reason why we should accept the fact he took those hundreds of thousands from our pocket when we were skint and maybe we will change our minds.

Don't tell me he was not already a rich man

Not one fact to back up these assertions - loads of speculation - and we have never heard his side - but you man the pitchforks along with the other haters!

in my opinion they probably got let off far too lightly by the management squad

After the Ramsden's final? It's not a FIFA 16, these are human beings. Running them round the track 20 times after a defeat might look good on TV, but there were many young players in that squad who I imagine were flattened after that match.  They needed lifted for the rest of the season, and for seasons to come.

Take a look back and see the comment I replied to with my initial Gullane comment. No one has made any comparisons of anyone's training and fitness regimes. Well except you.

Wait a minute, you think that 3 months before admin hit, guys on more a week than many fans make a year were worrying about money

Do you realise that due to their wage rises given by craig whyte, shagger, davis and whittaker earned more money the 7 months leading to admin than they did the whole of the previous season

Worried about money

So what about the rest of the squad? Boys like Jamie Ness, Gregg Wylde, Andy Little etc who didn't get nice big new deals? Plenty of them didn't get them and will have had reasonable worries about losing their job/a huge chunk of their income.
