Popular Post govanblue 16,847
And with the drawing of a close to what has been a truly remarkable season (sadly!) it is once again time for us to turn our attention towards season ticket renewals for our Veterans. Feel free to chat about potential boycotts of anything and everything elsewhere, but remember that as far as these particular seat renewals go, some things are more important than politics. Zetland 5,830
Could not agree more GB. Season - Awful Politics - Worse IMO. Veterans - WORTH IT. Set us to work for WATP
Popular Post govanblue 16,847
maybe what we need is a quick season review, just to remind us that it's not been all doom and gloom. Spending - Season 2016/17 June Waverley Boat trip for 12 - Loch Long Cruise - for Erskine Fish & Chips for 10 (Erskine) 4 Season Tickets for Combat Stress 2 Season Tickets for Erskine Park Home 2 Season tickets for Erskine Glasgow Home 2 Season tickets for Erskine Park donated by Rangers FC, at our request. 4 Season tickets donated to Erskine Bishopton by Rangers Supporters Trust (not from us, but we provide cup tickets for these 4 seats, so we count them in that way) £45 donation to Wee Josh 28 Cup Tickets for the League Cup Group Stages (Erskine and Hollybush House) - ie 14 Smartcard activations for the 2 home games) July Commemorative Medals for John Bowman (RIP), Erskine Veteran 6 Cup tickets for Erskine (v Annan) 6 Cup tickets for Erskine (v Stranraer) wheelchair & companion ticket for Erskine (v Stranraer) 21 Commemorative medals for Erskine Veterans 7 Rangers Umbrellas for Erskine 9 Rangers Blankets for Erskine 200 Items of 2012 Official Clothing/Merchandise for Erskine 20 RFC rings for Erskine August 13 Fish suppers for Erskine 22 tickets and 1 wheelchair & companion ticket for Erskine Homes, Erskine Bungalows and Hollybush House (v Peterhead) 9 tickets for Billy Elliot the Musical for Erskine September 14 tickets and 1 wheelchair & companion ticket for Erskine and Hollybush House (v QotS) Lunch at the Ingliston Country Club for Erskine October Donation to Nith Valley RSC appeal Donation to Wee Josh Wheelchair & Companion ticket for League Cup Semi Final for Erskine Donation to Big Ibrox Sleep Out November Stadium Tour and Argyle Restaurant Lunch for 12 (Erskine) Fish & Chips for 10 (Erskine) December Erskine Christmas Dinner Cheque Donations (£500) January 4 tickets and 1 wheelchair & companion ticket for Erskine (v Motherwell, cup) February 14 tickets and 1 wheelchair & companion ticket for Erskine & Combat Stress (v Morton) 14 tickets and 1 wheelchair & companion ticket for Erskine & Combat Stress (v Hamilton) And of course throughout the season, we've bought 10 Rangers Lotto entries every week, and 20 Rising Stars for each home game. I'd need to add it all up, but that's about £1500 to £2000 to Rangers Youth Development. And not forgetting all those medals that we bought, which made a big contribution towards Co. Armagh RSCs outstanding Fundraising efforts for the Rangers Former Players Benevolent Fund. There's a few bits more than that, but all in all, it's been a fairly quiet season - largely due to our PayPal being buggered, and me not wanting to spend any money until I had a way of getting money in. It's still not fixed, but hopefully not long now - then I can start soliciting you all for your 2017/18 membership fees. Those 14 season tickets aren't going to renew themselves you know! It's actually not a membership fee mate. You will be a member of a group of people who *donate* The only members are people who donate to a fund that goes to Rangers minded charities. The only "fee" is a donation that you decide you can afford, and it all goes to those less fortunate than you. *Your credibility will be questioned on this forum*.???? govanblue 16,847
Just before @Keeps01 posted, it occurred to me that I'd omitted one of the highlights of the year - The Erskine D-Day Whisky Rations! - donated each year single-handledly by @Keeps01 - out of his own annual bonus! And coincidentally, I see we are but a month away from this year's D-Day Party. Maybe we can chip in with him this season? Anybody got any spare whisky miniatures? The reason I'd missed that, and many other items, is because they didn't involve direct spending out of the fund, and so weren't on my funding spreadsheet. Really, I need to work my way through the whole 30 page thread to remind myself what we've been up to! Like the stuff we donated for the Erskine Sporting Memories Room... That's just a couple of pages worth. I could go on. Courtyard Bear, Zetland and Malvern

After that, I'll give you the final figures, and then we can get the new 17/18 Spending (and membership list!) thread started. That's from GB's post, some have more money than others so put in what you can without making yourself short and you will be more than welcome in the club mate. GB's work is outstanding and he does us all proud, now he has a beautiful assistant in Zetland this year to help out too so all is looking good.
