As is, properly maintained and upgraded as needed (toilets and facilities), the stadium will serve us well for a long time to come. If we ever do rebuild, Lang Park in Brisbane is an excellent venue to watch football in

I wish they had built it like this without those stupid screens which could go in the Copland and broomloan roofs like the beggers have. Stadium is outstanding otherwise, but as others have stated a good clean up , lick of paint and toilets sorted but I would move the bottom turnstiles back a few feet in the Copland , broomloan and Govan stands if possible to create more space for bigger toilets , disabled toilets etc. But a good clean is what's needed now as I love the stadium and very few clubs can match it
The Beast 9,121
The chance of any significant capital investment under the current regime is zero. The only way anything could happen would be if the mendacious one and the poisoned dwarf were to get their grubby hands on more of the fans money from RFFF, C1872 etc. Mind you, given the fan spivs involved in running both of these organisations then that may well happen. five stars 1,606
If we had the cash then a revamp of the Copland, Govan and Broomland. They're going to need a far bit of work to maintain these stands as they are deteriorating anyway. A modern design with the upper corners filled and the roof replaced, and a increased capacity to 55k ish.
RDFM 3,809
Copland, Broomloan and Govan need demolished tbh, they look woefully dated. Id love the whole stadium exterior to be like the main stand with the inside being much more modern, like the Yankee's stadium.

Bearsden bear 2,376
You could make a standing area You could lower pitch and add extra layer/s of seats at bottom - might need to extend roof too for that one! You could replace the seats with smaller ones and have a 'skinny stand' to accommodate the slimmer fan You could ban the press and sell the seats You could add transparent floating corporate boxes from the roof You could rent out away dug out Reduce the number of aisles and cram more seats in But where would we put the casino? miracle 7,764
I've always found that sitting at an angle to the pitch like that plays havoc with perspective making it hard to judge the flight of the ball, who's nearest to it etc.

I don't think that there's a single open air stadium with that. There certainly isn't a single "soccer" stadium with it that I know of. Vitesse's stadium (Gelredome) still has screens even when the roof is open (according to the photo below at least), don't know if this would restrict some people's view however. NornIronBear 450
At this moment in time as much as I'd like it we don't need new tiers added not just for a few games a season. If we had a waiting list for season tickets that was over 8000 say then maybe. What we could do is replicate the Bar 72 seating in the Copland and Broomloan stands. Planning permission would be easy and costs for instalation would be more within our current finances. I don't think the pitch can be lowered any more due to the Club Deck angle and no way would I want the Mhanks in the Club Deck as the roof angle would make their vile chants even louder. Tenerife Bear 1,748
We are not a big enough club for a 60000 seater stadium sadly. Football has passed us by in the last 10-20 years.

Bullshit. 43,000 season tickets sold this season and games getting sold out most games. and aside from that, the tims have a 60,000 capacity stadium you implying we're a smaller club than them? FSM 20,892
Genuinely think our current stadium capacity is bang on. It's not like we have a waiting list for season tickets and other than the celtic games and European nights we'd never have 60,000 in it. Would hate to see whole sections with fuck all people in it like the tarriers have.

I take your point to a degree, but there is possibly certain matches where we could have over 50,000, and even maybe 60,000 that would make increasing the capacity of the stadium a good idea. I was being slightly facetious mate. I think due to the lack of TV money in Scotland we really have to dig into every possible income stream and the gate receipts are the biggest one of them all. It has worked wonders for Celtic over the last 20 odd years. Yeah, they may not sell out every week but they have the seats there to sell when they do sell out and when the big games do come along. The rebuild of the Piggery has already paid for itself, and some and they now enjoy a huge financial upper hand on us and their larger capacity has undoubtedly played a part in that. David Murray should have increased Ibrox to at least what Parkhead is when Advocaat was here but chose to massage his ego with short term big money transfers instead. I don't like that Celtic have a bigger ground than us, even if it is a shitehole. The financial gap needs closed and us being able to sell more tickets would go a long way to bridging that gap. I think ideally you'd always want to have a few empty seats so you know everyone that wants to go can go. Obviously not realistic to add capacity now though. Wearethepeople72 1,844
Folk are saying we can't fill it right now, but tickets sell out for just about every home game. Only reason attendance is sometimes a bit short of capacity is usually due to a poor away support, and maybe people who already have tickets not turning up. I think if we had a bigger ground we would get bigger crowds. I'm not saying we would fill it every game, but in the bigger games we definitely would and I think in the long run it would probably benefit us financially.
