Now that our squad for 2016/17 is taking shape I thought it's important to remember where we came from to understand the magnitude of the work the manager, sir David of weir, frank mcparland and his team and the board have done......all made possible by the continued best support in the world.

so here we go...

really strikes you you just how small the squad was last year and you can see what Warburton is doing this year. When I look back at the team before the financial issues compared to next season it really does make me feel like we are getting back to where we were and then some. Kranjcar and Barton are up there with the signings of Davis and Mendes in my eyes so it's pleasing to see. Look forward to the finishing touches being applied to the squad for next year.

I'd love to forget the fact that the likes of Ian Black played for us.

Sorry mate, the idea was to get a positive vibe from the way the squad has transformed over a couple of years. law, shiels, Clark, templeton, bell out....Kranjcar, Barton, rossiter, windass, crooks and hill in. Not bad at all

Whittaker took our penalties for a good while if I remember correctly

He did. But still seems strange that he scored more goals than big Lee pre 2012.
