I like Guendouzi as he’s full of running and never gives up but in an ideal world he should be coming off the bench, not starting. He has vast experience and he knows the league inside out (even if it has changed in recent years), he could stabilise Man Utd in the top four every year like he did with Arsenal and he was always good at developing and managing younger players. These are all things that Man Utd need at the moment. Man Utd almost need to take a step back to go forward again because they aren’t going to go from where they are now to title challengers by taking punts on managers and constantly throwing money at it and IMO he would be perfect for them for three years or so to get the foundations back in place that they need before they can push on again and potentially become title challengers. It’s all fine and well saying he’s a young player and he needs to be managed properly and protected more but he lost that luxury when he signed what is reported to be a near £300,000 a week contract.
