RedWhiteBlue1872 407
Do you expect the board to back MW in January?. With Bartons wage freed up and possibly money from Waghorn if the rumours materialise, I would hope to see some movement. We need 2-3 in and fingers crossed it happens, possibly a permanent or two and loan deal, midfield looks thin again. Ps. Transfer policy this year has been a disaster! KingKirk 25,633
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cw3AXJ3WgAAAmD_.jpg:large RANGERS could move for Diego Poyet to replace Joey Barton. Ibrox manager Mark Warburton is weighing up offering the Uruguayan Under-20 cap a short-term deal after Gers agreed an exit package with Barton. Midfielder Poyet — son of ex-Chelsea star Gus — is a free agent after he left West Ham by mutual consent in August. He looked to be on the brink of a move to Derby this week until learning that Gers could be interested. Poyet, 21, was highly-rated as a kid coming through the ranks at Charlton. Born in Spain, he played for England’s youth teams before switching his allegiance to his parents’ country. But his progress stalled after joining the Hammers in 2014. He had spells on loan at Huddersfield, MK Dons and back at Charlton before having his contract cancelled on deadline day. After three months as a free agent, Poyet wants a move which he hopes will get his career back on track. Barton’s exit — after he was suspended for a bust-up with Andy Halliday and Warburton – has now opened the door for Poyet to move to Glasgow. STEPPS BOY 73,894
There needs to be some steel added to the spine of the team as we are far too easy to play against. what we'll get is some more players just the same as what we have. If Rossiter is going to be out for the long term we should definitely be looking at a defensive midfielder. Although I doubt King would stump up the cash for better than we already have. Bournemouth only paid £4m for him a year ago and he's on fire for Brighton where he's on loan just now. If he signs for anyone in January it will probably be a permanent deal there. Parlaneloyal 353
There's no doubt we need to sign a few players to ensure we finish runners up and get into Europe next season. Next season we really need to splash the cash if we are going to win the league
BlueSuedeSambas 53,781
If Barton leaves and Rossiter continues to struggle for fitness I think Diagouraga will come in on loan from Leeds. He's only played one league game for them this season and I don't think he's injured or anything. Apparently Monk just doesn't fancy him.
